I`d try ringing the school to see if maybe they have a copy of the said film. -
Must be out now cos my nieces boys had them on today.

Well I asked the front of shop.guy and he told me it would be £75 to look and diagnose which would be deducted from final repair costs but if they could not find the problem there would still be a charge. Did he tell me wrong information?

Sorry if this has been asked before (I can`t find it) but does anyone know where I can get my ipod fixed somewhere in Sheffield, where I can take it- apart from the apple store who are asking an extortionate price to look and diagnose it. I`ve had it nearly 5 years now and don`t want to pay too much to get it fixed if that is possible. I have bought a replacement but thought my broken one would make a good back up. Cheers Dex

Did you ever live in Parson Cross? (Part 2)

I take exception to that last remark Bushbaby (I`m the little 9 year old bottom row far right). Haha but I think maybe you are right. -
Try this link to his diary - http://frankwhite.info/Diary.aspx

What's good and bad about Sheffield?
Dexman replied to Jaysheffield's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
The Star Walk Binns department store Santa`s Grotto on the Moor Threepenny bit kiosk at Pond Street Fiesta Night Club The Albert Pub (opposite City Hall) Twerpy Truffles (burger bar next to Classic cinema----I think that`s where McDonald`s got their idea from) Sexy Rexy`s Short trousers to go to my first year in senior school (honest) Proper Dripping (not this mass produced rubbish of today) -
Just had another brilliant night out with Bushbaby and his brother and my two brothers and another friend who lived on the cross and we talked about more threads on here but I`ll leave that to Bushbaby to post as he`ll probably remember them more than I will. God I hate drnking, it clouds my memory

Cheers for that info Richard. I might have to drive over one Saturday lunch time for cake and chips & scraps of course just for old times sake. I still go in the Wordsworth Tavern on Thursday night now and again with my 2 bros and bro in law and never think to see if the chippy is still there. The Tavern has hardly changed since I used to frequent it in the early 70`s. Last time I was in we won the quiz with another team and shared 16 pints of ale (8 each).

I also remember the Chinese on Chaucer shops about 1971 (can`t remember the name of it) and the owners Chinese son who was called Dave (I think). Me and my mate Jeff Kurley waited all day one Saturday about to watch the England highlights without listening to the score on the radio or telly. Anyway we went to get some Chinese before the game was televised still not knowing the score only to go into the shop and Dave to say good win for England eh lads 2-0 - gutted or what.

Anybody know if Margetson Road Chippy is still open? I remember as a young lad in the 60`s going on Friday night as a treat for chips and fishcake (well half a cake as I had to share with my brother) and loads of scraps.mmmm.

What's your earliest memory of starting school?
Dexman replied to Wattsy's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
I remember getting bit on my backside by a big alsation whilst walking to school with my older brother on my first day at St Thomas Mores Rc on Creswick Lane. Never liked dogs since -
Course it was. Cheers Bb. Actually I just thought of another couple. Kenny Goodwin? who became manager after my pops broke his hip and his nephew Steve Salt(I think he was his nephew)
