My son has attended the Sheffield Academy of Performing Arts during the summer holidays; He attended the summer school for one week and had a fantastic time. The younger kids did The Wizard of Oz whilst a group of very talented girls aged up to 17yrs performed Wiked. The production was a fantastic fusion of these two very popular shows and showed what hard work on the parts of the kids and the experienced and dedicated staff can produce, a entertaining showcase that was enjoyed by the audience and clearly by the participants too. I would highly recommend S.A.P.A for performing arts for children of any age. The classes are held on a Sunday afternoon during term time, I really hope they will recreate the summer school in other school holidays too as my son loved it but cannot attend on Sunday due to other commitments.

Most of the posts have been offering idea's, support and suggestions to help at this stressful and difficult time. At no point did I suggest on my post that there was scientific evidence however I did say it may help. Even as a placebo if it helps does it matter??? Magic Charm? So what if it works for the poor woman who is in agony and on a waiting list then what the hell. Carry on with the appointments at docs etc and when it comes to specialist appointment time, get a diagnosis resolution and solution. Holistic therapy like many mainstream medications look at the whole. Something you have not done preferring to jump on the hog wash band-wagon when it is not required. Suggestions were asked for and given. How boring if we all had the same opinions and limited beliefs there would be no forum. I do hope the lady finds relief from her constant pain sooner rather than later and to be honest does it matter from where the relief comes from as long as it is there.

Have you tried making any changes to diet / lifestyle thinking re allergies which can rise up with no warning etc. How about looking at other therapies Kinesiology which works in conjunction with regular medicine initial consultation is roundabout £50 I think there is one based at the tennis club on near Endcliffe Park I know a few people who have been who think it is great my kinesiologyst is based in the Peak District but she is fab. There is also Homeopathy which I used many years ago with great results. I am also a Reiki Practitioner and this works on an emotional and physical level. Anything is worth a try, make some investigation into alternative therapies whilst you are waiting for the hospital tests. From a customer point of view rather than a professional (SEO etc) I took a look and wondered if all the photo's were your work? I would prefer to see pictures of work from jobs carried out and perhaps some before and afters. With descriptions of the work carried out and length of time took etc. The testimonial page have your customers actually put your phone number on each testimonial that they have written? That stood out to me and to be honest made me wonder if they were authentic. A good well presented site that I found easy to navigate and was impressed with the layout made lots of sense and displayed abilities well. Hope this helps

Hi aliceBB Then again it could not be a confidence trick. As well as being a Reiki Master Teacher I am also a Life Coach and trained in family coaching, family dynamics and stress management and confidence. Plus a mother of two, sister, daughter and wife. I totally agree that spending time with your children and other members of your family is very very important. The course has not been offered as a solution for "problem" children, situations or circumstances. We would always signpost to relevant services that can aid with specific problems should it be required. As we state it can enhance family life and dynamics we have not mentioned anything about re-alignment it is all about enhancement. Most people who attend this course are happy with their family life including the time they spend with their families and they want to enhance it even more. For them attending the course is a great way to take time out and build their own confidence, communication and empathy. From a personal level I have practiced Reiki for 8 years it has helped me to change my career so I ultimately spend more time with my son and daughter. It has helped with my son's night terrors and my daughters attachment issues. It is also invaluable for me on a personal level as it gives me precious time to just take time out and be me. Is it a confidence trick? I don't think so it could be a confidence tool, it gives me the confidence to be a better parent and is a fantastic tool to use within the family and on a personal level. Some people prefer to manage their stress and have down time by drinking, smoking, dancing, driving, watching TV or playing games. I prefer to do it by practicing Reiki, Self Development and Meditation and I firmly believe that this makes me a better parent, wife, daughter, sister, businesswoman and individual. Being a parent is a very demanding and stressful job there are no clocking on and off times. Spending time with their kids isn't the only solution. It would be great if family life was like the images in magazines but it isn't always the case. Family life doesn't mean just your kids either, We have elderly parents and using Reiki with them has helped no end they are both in their 80's and enjoy receiving Reiki from myself and Sandra as well as practicing Reiki on themselves as they are both attuned to Reiki Level 1. Many thanks for your comments aliceBB a different viewpoint is always welcome as they say different strokes for different folks it would be pretty boring if we were all of the same opinion. I appreciate you have your own viewpoint of family life and I do hope you appreciate and accept there are people out there with a different viewpoint and who want to explore different idea's, principles and practices.

Hi Many thanks for your positive response Reiki is fab that is why we are doing the course and at such a reduced cost. We want Reiki to be availale for everyone with no discrimination at all and feel it is especially beneficial for harrassed mums, dads and their little ones.
