  1. We have a Mei tai and it is fab, no backache like I had with the old mothercare sling I had.
  2. She climbs really well, I think that the cot can be lowered another notch so we will try that first but the first sign of her leg over the cot again and she will be having a bed ! Thanks guys.xx
  3. Hi all, I have done a quick search but cannot find a thread so I am starting one. Rachel is now almost 18 months old. She has just started to walk and is very fond of climbing ! A friend of mine worked on the theory that if her kids could walk they could climb and therefore were better off in a bed rather than a cot they could climb and fall out of. All 3 of her kids were in a bed at the age when they could walk. What I want to know is at what age did you all put your kids in a bed and why ? Any advice would be appreciated because we found her with her leg almost over the top of the cot this morning !!
  4. My little girl has a considerable flat side to her head but this does not affect the front of her gorgeous little face, she is now 15 months old and I have been very careful not to get too worked up about it. However she has an appointment with our peadeatrician in July about her lack of weight gain (which is now not an issue) and thought I make take the chance to mention it then. One of my friends has told me that she had her baby's flat spot fixed by going to a specialist cranial chiropractor.
  5. Wok Wonder in Dronfield for the win ! I've often kind of wondered whether these take-aways and some restaurants change ownership in a car game :-)
  6. Keep everything crossed especially your legs !! lol Sorry to make light of it but you have to laugh or you will drive yourself mad. This is coming from someone who has also suffered from a miscaraige in the past. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.
  7. We had ours done at window to the womb in nottingham, they were fab but I cannot for the life of me remember the price.
  8. Congratulations Jelly, glad to hear your little one arrived safely. My daughter is the same with the trumping, she takes after her dad !
  9. Doctor at the hospital confirmed that there is no second heart murmur. We are so relieved.
  10. Such a good idea, just a shame my lo is now one !
  11. I saw a physio but very early on, 16 -20 weeks or so. They said that there was nothing they could do but recommended that I wear a maternity belt when I got bigger. From about 5 months onwards I wore a fab pair of knickers I found in a maternity shop in Nottingham, they have a maternity belt sown into them and go over your normal underwear. Mine supported my bump well enough and had a big panel which came up over my bump (almost as high as my bra). I never wanted to take them off because the support they provided was heavenly. I would recommend them to anyone but it may be a bit late for you to start thinking of investing as they are 30 quid. If you would like them to induce you then explain that to them and explain your concerns too. Ask what the chances are of you being left waiting around or is there any way you can wait at home. Just be clear with them and remember that they are good but they cannot read your mind, you have to tell them anything you want or need them to know. Good luck. xx
  12. Honeyb, I really feel for you and Matty. I can only really offer my family's best wishes for you both and hope that you get to the bottom of this soon. I often find that the whole NHS are very good at passing from one to another, sometimes you have to sit still and refuse to move for someone to stop and remember that you and your son are people and not just numbers. Good luck. xx
  13. Hey there, mine was never officially diagnosed either but I guessed that I had SPD too and can sympathise with you fully. I felt like my baby was going to fall out of me and take my pelvis with her every time I stood up and turning over in the night was just absolute agony. I still get a lot of pain and my daughter is just turned one so I can understand what you are going through. As the others have said, just tell the doctor how you feel and that you are in a lot of pain. Be clear in your mind what you would be happy with though, if you will be happy to just be reassured then great but if you want them to induce you then you need to decide that before you go in.
  14. Hi there, we have a Johnson & Johnson monitor with alarm, rachel is now just over a year old and we still use it for peace of mind. We never get the alarm going off so as suggested above I would suggest looking at the equipment since your LO seemed ok when you checked.
