  1. Where can I buy the Daily Record in Sheffield?
  2. Has anyone any experience of working in a school which became a trust? How did things turn out? Were people treated fairly? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  3. Another top job by Jeff the Joiner. He fitted some doors about a month ago and came back last night to adjust them after the carpet had been fitted - at no extra cost. He even did the doors he hadn't originally fitted, and them helped me with a broken window. Top job, again. His contact details: Jeff the Joiner 07861379796
  4. Read this... http://www.gentingcasinos.co.uk/news/genting-club-sheffield-open-to-public-after-star-studded-launch-night/ It was opened by Jessica Ennis. £5000 was raised for The Children’s Hospital Trust on the launch night.
  5. I bet your clients well pleased you've announced that!
  6. Yes, but those first 2 could be considered the exceptions to the norm. 74 years for a grand slam winner (who learned overseas cos the home culture wasn't supportive enough), first ever Tour de France winner. If these results were sustained over a number of years and a number of individuals, then I would agree. We've had various champions through the years in boxing, golf and F1. Henman was getting to quarter and semi finals in the tennis grand slams from 96-2004; Murray has been doing the same since 2008, so there is consistency.
  7. Sheffgrow - I said we had a top 10 football team. Litotes - we have a number of current world champions, including the Tour de France winner, US tennis open and holders of the Ashes.
  8. Voodoodav is clearly worried about commuition/communition/commuism. That's why he's so angry.
  9. Hamilton in F1, the Lions in Rugby Union, Murray and Robson in Tennis, McIlroy and Rose in Golf, a top 10 football team, a cricket team competing for the Ashes, an Olympic team that finished 3rd in the world for gold medals, Wiggins and Cavendish in the cycling and various boxing world champions, snooker world champions, darts world champions, top horse racing venues… is there a nation that competes so well in so many worldwide sports?
  10. I hope this is a joke. My tenant had a problem with her boiler a couple of years ago. My regular plumber wasn't available so I got someone else out instead. It was sorted within 2 days. 2 days. Not 21. I can give you the name of a plumber. Or look one up on this forum. Or get an electrician to fit an electric shower. Or just admit you're a bad landlord. From a legal standpoint, the law states: "It is the landlord's responsibility to ensure that the boiler is working correctly for the provision of hot water and heating - under the statute of section 11 of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985. The landlord is expected to attend to the problem within a reasonable amount of time, once he is notified of the problem. " 21 days is not "reasonable".
  11. Two points here - 1 - we all pay for the upkeep of parks, in our taxes. I assume the cafe also pays for its lease from the park, so if you spend your 40p in the cafe instead of the car park it's still good, isn't it? 2 - 40p is not a lot, but I'm sure the fine for being late back to your car is huge. I'd rather park for free and avoid picking up a hefty fine than pay for a parking space and return to find I've got a ticket because one of the kids needed the toilet, for example.
