Hi Does anyone know of any sea fishing clubs around the sheffield area? I used to go sea fishing many years ago and i am wanting to start again, but it seems no clubs exist anymore. Anyone got any ideas. Thanks Peter

Hi i have fished the pond a couple of times this year as a new member, it is stuffed with fish. bream, roach, tench carp, nothing massive but plenty. its well worth a visit but do not use maggots or you will be plagued by tiny fish, try sweetcorn Pete

Are there any sea angling clubs in and around sheffield? i have not been boat fishing for years and i would like to start going again. Used to go from whitby but i understand its not been fishing well for a few years now. any help will be appreciated Pete

i saw the ones over chesterfield yesterday. i guess they went where the wind blew them:)

i was banned from using the site at blackstock road. my crime? taking some rubble in my car from my own house. i was told "oh thats commercial rubble - you can't come again" i ended up phoning one of the bosses and to be fair he came around to my house to see it was not commercial rubble and he phoned the guy at blackstock road to tell him to let me take the rest of the stuff. usually the guys at the site are climbing in the skips as fast as you can throw bags in. they rip them open and retrieve anything they can sell at car boot sales. my opinion is that they do not like you taking "worthless" rubbish there but they are only too happy to see something of value. "put it over there mate" is the usual cry if they think they can make money out of it.
