  1. its called the next generation, and yes they think its a game. no hope for the world
  2. i am not being funny, but who cares, did anyone care when all the small outlets the one man shops got forced to close as they couldnt compete with the likes of tesco, asda and others. get what they deserve
  3. what makes me laugh is they seem to forget that the force in sheffield and many other cities are made up of police from all over the country, not just born and bred in sheffield. the force has same standards throughout so they are laughable
  4. united fans wanted him out before season even started, not saying that now are they
  5. its not just the salt content in ready made meals to be aware of also all the e numbers. allways best to cook fresh if you can
  6. looking good, went out into garden at 7am this morning and sprinkled pepper all over the areas shes dug into then let her out. quite funny really she roamed round sniffing here and there where she"s dug up and after a few sniffs and wierd sneezes came back down path and sat next to doors into house and hasnt moved since lol. i havent been out to her yet and have kept out of sight so she thinks shes on her own and shes happy to have the odd walk around and have another sniff then sits down or lays down. wooler looks like you may have cracked it. will keep you updated, thank you for the advice really appreciate the help. many thanks looks like we might be able to rescue the lawn over a period of time so not just her but we can also enjoy it on a sunny day.
  7. my wife mentioned that but i dont really want to fence or lose a section of the garden also i feel that if she going to dig there it may still tempt her to dig in the garden as well.
  8. she seems to have 4 spots at the minute and a couple it looks like she eyeing up lol so tomorrow will give it a try, thanks will let you know if it stops. still open to other suggestions as well the more the better. thank you
  9. regards the rspca they are as bad in the case as with emma. we tried before we got our lab private to get a mistreated dog and they said that as we lived on a busy road they wouldnt allow us to adopt a dog, even though all round the back of the house is an 8ft fence and a 6ft gate thats on a return spring and closes everytime. real shame and they are allways complaining that they are short of funds well what do they expect when the are biase in cases like ours and many others. they want to re-home that we understand but its wrong and not fair on the animals as they are allways full due to not allowing people the chance to adopt
  10. hi all, just looking for a bit of help if anyone can give an answer. we have a 3yr old lab, brilliant dog only one fault and we have only just found this problem out. we have just moved house and in our old house we had just what would be classed as a concrete jungle, not a bit of grass or soil anywhere. now we are in a house with a lovely garden nice lawn or was a nice lawn. she has started to dig holes and when i mean holes i mean bloody big holes all over the lawn. its like she was a grave digger in a previous life. can not understand why and what to do to stop her. she is one of them dogs when she has done wrong she knows as she gets the cold shoulder for a few hours and that you can tell it hurts her as shes a very hands on dog and loves our attention. but no matter what you do or tell her shes wrong she puts tail between legs and skittles off into a corner feeling sorry for herself. today we left her free to come in to house and garden while we went to asda for no more than an hr. came back and the has dug the hole of holes it huge and she new as soon as we walked in she was wrong and went into her area where her bed is and would not budge when we tried to make her go to the hole and say naughty girl. anyone know why and what we can do to stop it. its not through bordem as she gets an hours walk every morning and every nite and she has allways got company or for such as today we though nice day let her choice if she want to lay on her bed or roam the garden and the garden is big enough for her to run round all day if she wanted to but since we moved here the grass is totally ruined and shes still not taking notice. and she is never dis-obedient as a rule and she is never mistreated even though i could kill her today. any help would be grateful or a reason why and any idea what will stop her apart from not letting her in garden which isnt fair. many thanks
  11. if it isnt a big bad killer why are people being admitted into hospital with Asbestosis, Mesothelioma,Asbestos-related lung cancer,Diffuse pleural thickening. at a all time record level.
  12. many thanks for pointing that out to me, i was under the impression it was 12. ooh well will do 2nd choice and get her into horse riding lessons that way she is still involved in some way with animals and keeps her interest alive and kicking. she is a bit dissapointed but understands as do i myself. many thanks tony
  13. hi all, i am wondering if anyone could help me. my 11yr old daughter is mad on animals and i promised her that when she was 12 i would arrange to get her to an animal santuary to help out on a weekly basis so she could enjoy being with cats, dogs, horses, ect. she wants to be a vet in the long run which i think is fantastic that at such a young age shes so keen to learn all the ins and outs of helping unfortunate animals that have been unlucky enough to be injured or sadly dumped. this isnt something she has recently been interested in as since the age of 8 or 9 she has wanted to do this. and i even have to miss my live footy matches on sky due to animal planet being on tv lol. mind you get to go to the pub more often . the only thing that has stopped me from asking on the forum before is i think at 12 is just the right age for her to be of real help practically. we has a 3yr old lab and shes for ever playing with her and they are so close its untrue, i then got her a guinea pig and a rabbit, and every morning before school shes outside come rain, snow blizzards feeding them and grooming them surprised they have any fur left.unfortunatly last august the rabbit died and bless her she was heart broken. it was fine one day the next it was terrible so got it to the vet while she was at school and told her that it had to go to the animal hospital, but looking into her eyes i didnt have the heart to tell her it had died. so till this day she thinks it is still in hospital like would happen to the elderly when they become poorly and need 24hr help. i know i should have told her but just couldnt do it she was heart broke when it was taken ill. only problem now is she wants to visit . i know im going on sorry. what it is does anyone know where there may be an opening for her to join a santuary or vets surgery as what would be classed as a saturday girl so she can learn and broaden her knowledge and help in anyway possible. she is a lovely polite honest girl who just wants to learn and be around animals. if anyone could help she would be over the moon and i know would be of some good even if its just helping at feed times or walking dogs. i will say that we will only let her go to a registered santuary or vets, not to individuals this isnt against anyone but we will be taking her and picking her up and unfortunatly in this day and age we wouldnt feel comfortable leaving her anywhere unless it is a safe secure enviroment for her. i know there are honest genuine people out there but for our peace of mind can any help be based on a established place. many many thanks in advance for any offers or refurals.
