  1. For a bit of a drive there's Newark autojumble. I've not been but have been told that to see it all would require a full day.. According to the site it's there once a month all year round. Definitely going to make an effort next time it's on quick edit - Nice ride lefty21
  2. Didn't get a good look but heard it over Killamarsh. Could've been a DC 3 or something
  3. Cheers guys, the Bikesafe site looks to be what I'm after, at least like has been said - to see whether it's for me or not. I don't want to come across as 'rules are rules' but green lanes are roads and not being insured on someone elses bit of kit scares me However it would be a good way to try some light off roading.. Still not even sure what sort of riding I'd be wanting to do
  4. Hey, I've been recently wondering if anything like this exists, preferably near to Sheffield. I'm just looking for some way of having a go on a bike of any type really. The 'experience' days that Virgin for example do require a bike license, and while it's probably not a big deal to just get a CBT done and buy a cheap runaround, it would be a weekend toy, and I already have one too many of those.. Never ridden one, but would love a go basically Oh, and trying a mate's is a no go; I couldn't live with myself if I dropped it Cheers
  5. Aldi are selling motorbike stuff at the moment. Not sure if they're doing gloves, but as it's not for riding I'd have thought they'd be a good choice
  6. Copley Couriers Local couriers, based in Killamarsh
  7. I thought the same, but the Asda and Sainsbury's were both shut. I thought the Asda at drakehouse would be working as they are card only, without even a kiosk, but when I got to the pumps they were switched off The Sainsbury's just had cones everywhere, as did Morrison's at Halfway so I gave up and went to BP
  8. It says on the site that it's unavailable, but I buy this at the big new Asda at Drakehouse. It's the only place I've seen it other than really expensive stuff. Helps with migraine apparently
  9. The title of this thread sounds like a horrific news headline or Chat magazine feature involving an 18-month old child having to steri-strip their own arm which is dangling off.. If it's not too far a journey I would do as you have said though - taker her back if it happens again. However if it looks to be healing it might be best 'letting air get to it', as I've always been taught :s
  10. Their age is my guess. With a bit of help from who people hang around with whilst there, and I'm sure many other secondary schools are the same, kids can surely change to no end. I left in '08 just before the major changes happened such as twinning the school with Talbot and I haven't read much about it from Ofsted since then, but I'd have thought it would have improved since. There's good and bad with it, as with the kids and everyone who works there, but like I've said, I don't think it's specifically a problem with Newfield...
  11. Funnily enough the second band I think of when Halestorm's mentioned
  12. Find a station with, or have prep'd driving tunes, hunker down and eat up the miles. If I'm going anywhere new to me I'll stop along the way and just have a look around. It's a must to try any sandwich shop when hunger strikes regardless of appearences/areas etc; never know what culinary delights ensue
  13. It probably isn't, but make sure it's not condensation from the sunroof.. I get it in a morning dripping on me :/
  14. Not sure if it's available in the Sheffield stores, but you can buy a fairly nice carbonated bottle from Asda. I've bought it from one in Middlesbrough which isn't a help, but I can't see why they wouldnt be available in them across England
  15. I'd maybe ask in the classic car section of the forum too for this
  16. Hey, just thought I'd ask here really quick if anyone knows what recently has been happening here? Tried to drive through the estate a couple of days ago and wasn't allowed through past the camp as police had the road blocked.. A few wagons seemed to be leaving the place, so was just wondering if they had been moved on or something?
  17. In terms of warehouses and stuff there's always the old abandoned railway building close to the big Tesco.. Not sure if it's still around to be honest as I know at one point it was going to be demolished. Nearby that was a disused office block-type building too which I've wanted to get some snaps of for a while now
  18. You'll need half life 2 to run it regardless of if you have the first. So far ive found it pretty ace - only done the tram ride and starting area and already amazed.. There was an interview sampling some of the voice acting within the game which sounded horrible, however in the real thing theyre spot on
  19. Surprised there hasnt been a thread on this to be honest.. Just a general heads up that this mod has finally been released - go download, I'm sure if your a fan of the original game you'll hopefully get a kick from it. I've only just managed to get it set up and can feel a marathon coming on tomorrow.. Be nice to know what others think to it Black Mesa
  20. Diesel is quite pricey, but 20 quids worth to get to the nearest petrol station?
  21. I assume nothing, i wasnt there - These points are just what i was told. There is a very good chance that the person did just step out between cars as i witness that happening constantly on this road.
  22. A neighbor today told me of a woman being knocked down by a car on Bridge street in Killamarsh at some point today. Apparently she was thrown into the air due to the speed the car was travelling. Just wondered if anyone else had heard about it, and if we know if the woman is doing okay? Seems quite a hard thing to do as Bridge street always has cars parked all over it and loads of speedbumps..
  23. What a shock, I'd heard nothing of his illness til now.. RIP
  24. That's quite some interrogation there Well, for a start I've already mentioned I don't do that when others are around. How could i get pulled for doing it if nobody is around to witness it?
