  1. Try Make or Bake, they are at Chesterfield & Bakewell markets, and have a website too. http://www.makeorbakeonline.co.uk/ If they haven't got what you want, James will get it for you.
  2. I would highly recommend Kate's Kakes she's just setting up her site now, but she and her husband have a baking and cake decorating supplies company, called make or bake and you can contact her through there. http://www.makeorbakeonline.co.uk/ She has a lot of photos of her cakes on her twitter feed https://twitter.com/Newey78
  3. We did too, it has just come back on. We also had no water, which us now coming out Brown ??
  4. Thank you, we have had a couple of quotes but they range from 5-7k and I'm not sure if this is reasonable or not. Thank you
  5. What should the average price of a kitchen with double oven, 5 ring burner, under counter fridge & freezer and all new units with fitting and all plumbing/electricity work done. the room is approx 3m x 2.7m.
  6. Did you go ahead with this iansheff / we are currently considering them. thanks
  7. Don't stop belivin at the Lyceum has now been cancelled even though the theatres website says it plans to go ahead.
  8. vistaprint - they do freebies as well so you can trial them if you want. We had our save the date postcards from there and we had engagement magnets fromt hem too, not because we are lavish or anything becasue they were bloody free and I love a bargain !!! http://www.vistaprint.co.uk
  9. There's only one thing to do this Bank Holiday and thats watch the mighty Blades !!
  10. I'd be really interested to know this for fact as well. There is a thread on here that says it's not so there is nothing on the SUFC website, but my friend phoned me earlier saying that he had been told it was on. Don't want to turn up if it's not true, when i could be round a mates with a bbq going outside for afterwards to clebrate with !! Can anyone cofirm 100% ?????
  11. Thanks everyone ! We did consider the Dam house as the outside space is perfect but the inside isn't should the weather be typically british and peeing it down. Also when i took my hubby to be there for lunch to check it out he had to send his food back so now has no-no'd it ! Can't blame him i guess. Went to the kenwood last week, bit over priced really for what you got and the room that we would be allowed if doing the BBQ thing was tiny ! The search continues, going to make a few appointments for this weekend I think !! Oh and the botanical gardens are having one 1 trial reception this year to see how they go with complaints from local residents/damage to the gardens etc. But i think it may be too late to wait and see if that means they will allow them in the future, can't believe how early things get booked up i always thought it was myth !!
  12. Hello All, I am getting married next July and really need to find a reception venue ! We really want one with outside space and prefeably one that will either do a BBQ for us or allow us to bring in an outside catering company. We are getting married at the botancial gardens so ideally it would be round the eccleshall/nether edge/greystones area but will go further if we find the right place !! Any ideas ??? Thanks
  13. DON'T DO IT !!!!!! That is the best advice i can give you they should be renamed ROB VARDY !! Bought a used car from them last March and have had no end of problems with it and them !! Serious lack of customer service once they have your cash they don't give a toss, the ultimate in Robbin' Bar Stewards !! I have always previously bought my cars privately but this time i could afford a bit more and made the dreadful error of mistaking Reg Vardy for a reputable dealership - How Wrong I was !! Bought the car in march had wait 5 days for it to be ready was given a courtesy car to tide me over but not until 2 days after i made the purchase, not a problem though i understand that this is a courtesy service fair point, not entirley sur the car they gave me was road worthy though !! Picked up my car with the pro pack (seat guard, paint guard headlamp protectors etc) only to be told that they hadn't had any headlamp protectors in stock so i would have to bring my car back at some point to get them fitted. 2 weeks after i had the car a bottle of water leaked on the passenger seat left an awful tide mark/stain. It was only water and the seats where allegedly treated so that any liquid would just wipe off so i returned to reg vardy and was told "oh maybe we didin't put it on properly " so they cleaned it and gave me the drags of an old can and told me to spray it myself when it was dry !! Still no headlamp protectors ! I've just seen the length of my post and there is so much more to write and i get more and more frustrated with every word but to cut a long story short i have had the car just under a year now my seat is still stained, i still have no headlamp protectors ( get this apparently fiat don't make them to fit proper and that's why !!) I've had to have the exhaust replaced, the front wheels re-aligned, the engine management system looked at and it's still faulty and i wish i'd never bought the bloody thing basically !! So are they any good ? No definitely not !!! Save your self the trouble and have a bonfire with the couple of grand you would waste with them !!
  14. LOL !!! yes it's exactly that 3 cows, an emu and a rhino !! Seriously the homesteading scheme is run by the council for first time buyers who live or work in sheffield basically they have a few properties that would cost them money to do up before they could use them/rent them out whatever, so the idea is instead they sell them to people who meet certain criteria at a discounted price but with the stipulation that your do x amount of work to the property. Each property has a full list of works and estimated costs. You have to agree to do this work within 2 years of buying the property and live in it as your sole residence for i think another 2 /3 years after. This ensuring that a load of property developers don't come along get the houses at dirt cheap prices and sell them on at big profit or rent them out. The only thing is it is a bit of a lottery to actually get a property every so often the do viewings for a batch of properties you then apply for each one your interested in if you meet all the conditions your application is put into a pot and one lucky person is drawn out and gets the house !! I guess this is the fairest way of doing it really as when i have been to some viewings they have been easily been upto50 people lookin round some who you kinda know aren't going to qualify ( i.e property developers) but then lots that do, but at the same time it's really frustrating. Hope that makes it clearer..... Think you can visit city council website for more details or i do know that Haybrook estate agents where looking after the last batch of properties for them. Oh yeah forgot to say the price is a set price so no bidding wars which i s fantastic if only you get picked out of the hat !!!
