Not herd of that, very nice! now then why can't PC linuxs have that? with every single option a couple of click away. Even auto mounting a network share is a hassle.

Does anyone know what this plug socket is?
DeathAxe replied to JackK0's topic in General Discussions
We had weird sockets before the refit, I think they where for heaters. -

Tory scum can sod off. -
That is INSANE. THey are only doing that because the smaller shops selling yanky stuff are also charging stupid prices and they are just cashing in. If the local Chinese stores can sell imported stuff for very little, then so can they. ---------- Post added 12-02-2014 at 13:01 ---------- Also, tesco are doing fruit loops now (probably a toned down version, less radioactive) and they are horrid things. Why are they popular?

I'm not sure footed, so ice makes it difficult

It is based on it yes, but it is essentially a completely different OS based on usability, in which EVERYTHING including all settings can be changed and accessed in a couple of swipes. Something that PC linux distros are far from.

About freedom? not really sure how that applies. But whatever gets you up in the morning I suppose. Hindrances? what like having to type sudo commands just to mount a network share, and then having it not auto mount on the next bootup? Or do you mean hindrances like being able to do all of your tasks with a simple mouse click? Distros like ubuntu are trying I'll give them that, but linux is still FAR from being user friendly. When you consider how easy new OSs like android are so easy to get on with, linux is still stuck in the 90's.

Nah, he needs something that is not costly. -
Give the contacts a clean with some alcohol and cotton swab?

When I click reply, I get a thin box in which I cannot type anything at all. Google have broken so many of their services, it has gone BEYOND a joke.

Would it be permitted to post spammers emails here?
DeathAxe replied to Skink's topic in Computer & Tech Chat
Since that google plus garbage, I hjave had random people emailing me asking to be friends or some other rubbish. I have a foreign name, so I get lots of weird language ones too. No way to stop it either. -

What is the point in "transitioning" to linux? if people want it to look the same then why don't they just stick to what they are used too? Reality is, they can try and make linux look like windows or macs how much they want, but in the end it is not osx, it is not windows. Users will come to find that out very quickly, and at that stage, it doesn't matter if the skin looks like osx/windows. (then the sudo headache will begin, and they will go back to osx/windows which are more user friendly)

Are free bus passes making people fat?
DeathAxe replied to fishfood's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
No, 10 mins by foot. -
Various linux builds have been copying other systems designs since the dawn of GUI. They usually rip off windows.

Does owning a car make you fat AND lazy? the amount of people I see going to the local shops which are only 10 mins away in their car... well it is allot. Then they teach their kids the lazyness, by driving them to a school just down the road. -
Possibly Romanian "poor collecting"
DeathAxe replied to woodmally's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
They are not poor, just con artists. No doubt they did the same from the place they came from and see the UK as new grounds to do their trade. -

This following on from the blocking of file sharing sites? I said that was stage 1, it seems that I was correct. Either that or this is scare mongering, any more links to back up this claim?
