I did- I switched from N Power to EDF, but even if your new provider is the cheapest at the time, all the providers constantly alter their tariffs & offers, which means a week after switching you might not be on the cheapest available again- and probably locked in for a year. Is it impossible in this day and age for a provider to say "this is how many units you used between this date and this date, this is what we charge per unit, so this is how much you owe".. irrespective of how much you use, where you live, how you want to pay, how long you've been with them etc etc etc. Simples. I dont begrudge them making a decent profit, but they are taking the p155 out of us all, getting away with it and laughing all the way to the bank. Their board meetings must be hilarious fun seeing who can come up with the next smoke and mirrors method to muddy the murky water of their charging process some more.

The fact is it's all made so complicated on purpose so nobody can actually say who is cheapest, and most dont have the time / patience /mental ability to work it out. I've not heard that one tho Suffy

He was supposed to be meeting with them, but the cynic in me makes me think its only so he can be seen to be doing something, when in fact he's in the pocket of these guys and so wont actually do anything to upset them. We need Richard Branson to sort this out like he did with the mobile phone providers. Virgin Power anyone?

Essentially, but we only have these as 'holiday resorts' and I dont think technically you are allowed to live there all year round. I want to open trailer parks in and around our big cities.

In the USA they have trailer parks for those that cant afford a house. They havent made their way over here...yet..because we have council / social housing and cheap houses- you can still pick up a house in the UK for 25k. Im wondering if trailer parks will start to make an appearance here, after all, modern trailers can be very nice, and are at least the size of a new build 1 bed apartment. Is there money to be made from setting up a few nice trailer parks and renting them out to 'young professionals'- people who cant afford the deposit yet for a house, and want more for their £500 month rent than a damp terrace or a pokey apartment in the middle of town, or just want somewhere cheaper to allow them to save for a deposit.

Hmmm they did that to me after I switched to them. Trouble is, no matter how many times I try and deciper their bills I'm none the wiser who owes what to who, with all the debits / credits / rebates / adjustments etc etc etc, or even how much I've actually used.

Just for the record and before you go ranting to Enterprise Inns, the Ranmoor Inn is owned by the small local Just William pub chain I think, which is owned by the landlord of the Ranmoor Inn itself- Nigel and his wife Vanessa. Generally regarded as a top landlord running a very nice operation which is mainly why the Ranmoor Inn is the only place in Ranmoor that's still busy. The place could never be called a dive by any standards, so for you to say that suggests you're throwing your toys out of the pram because of your experience. Also, Enterprise Inns dont run pubs, so have no say over who gets a spanking for bad service. They just lease them to people who run them them as their own business.

How much does your gas and elec come to per month? No matter how much I cut down, I've never managed to get the bill down. I pay £80 month in total, live alone and I'm out at work all day so only have the (gas) heating on for 1hr in morning and a couple of hours in the eve. Hate to think how much it costs the little old ladies at home all day.
