  1. A few short years ago united fans were hailing McCabe as "the best chairman in football" he's far from that at the moment especially if what you say is true, if that is the case and he has a love for the club shouldn't he admit that he's taken them as far as he can and open the way for someone else as Milan Manderic did so sucessfully at S6.
  2. Pete I think the out of term time holiday thing is ridiculous (it went on during my school days and the education system didn't collapse) but one of the other couples works in a school so it would be in Easter holidays.
  3. I had looked into the flying phobias courses but are they more of a fear of flying because the plane may crash or do they also deal with claustrophobic type fears.
  4. Went to Disneyland Paris last May as a "taster" but agree with you, I have done Orlando twice in the past and its much more of an immersive experience add in Kennedy Space Centre, Busch Gardens etc and theres no comparison.
  5. The Charlton and MKD results were shockers, let hope similar doesn't happen v PNE in a couple of weeks, I think we should be ok against Brentford (who look poor) and QPR (underperforming) in the next home fixtures.
  6. For years I have said I would take my son to Orlando once he is the right age - old enough to be able to do everything but still young enough for the magic of it, he loves his films so I thought it would be a good experience, he 13 next years and i'm 50 so perfect opportunity, in the intervening years my partner has developed a fear of flying although its not so much the actual flight but being in a confined space and not being able to get out of it thats the problem, she has catergorically stated that she will never board a plane again, despite doing so many times in the past. I am prepared to take my son on my own and know another couple that are going with a child of the same age. I have mentioned this to my partner and she has gone ballistic and basically said we cannot go, I dont really want to upset my partner but feel my son will miss out on something that he would remember for the rest of his life, he's an only child and we will never get these times back, what do I do??
  7. The seasons been exceptional so far and promotion would be the icing on the cake but if it doesn't happen we go again next season, look where we'd be now if we'd had a better start.
  8. Knock Knock - 5/10 - Keanu Reeves is dreadful as who man who helps two girls who knock on his door for help who then turn on him.
  9. They could get a management duo of Mourinho and Guardiola and the chairman/men would still **** it up. The contrast between the two Sheffield clubs at the moment is staggering.
  10. I've long said that mccabe is behind everything thats wrong at the lane and been roundly slated on here for it, selling good players at key times and replacing them with either no one or sub-standard players, managerial appopintments, the Ched Evans saga etc etc, clueless. United sold Harry Maguire over a season and a half ago never adequately replaced hin and have suffered in defence ever since and what the hell was that "takeover" nonsense all about.
  11. P or G was comedy gold and extended by a half hour for full effect, what a turnaround this season has been with the blades hailing King Nigel and laughing at us with Carlos the clown, brilliant
  12. My prediction was 1-2 but I would have never thought that after 15mins, losing 3 key players and having to totally re-group with only one further sub available, to go on to win a game like that against an inform Birmingham side is a great achievement, well done the boys and could the top two be in out sights? WAWAW
  13. Yet another tough game and our away form is a bit disappointing, we have seemed to falter against the more direct, in your face teams and Birmingham will want to play it on the ground which should be to our advantage. 1-2.
  14. I'll have a look next time I drive through mate, I usually pass on my way to Welbeck.
  15. I drove through Whitwell the other day Tim and didn't see your shop.
  16. Loovens made one (costly) mistake, Dave had a great game and set up the goal, Lee scored and adds zip to the midfield whereas McGugan wouldn't. Your number one sons not a great judge.
  17. Lees played full 90mins (and scored) in an U21's match yesterday so I would say he is very close to a return, him and Hutch would be worth a try as a CB pairing.
  18. Certainly doesn't look a pen in that clip, some of our play looks great at times but what was Loovens trying to do for they're goal???
  19. Caught out with the sucker punch of an early goal after a Loovens mistake (again many round me said) and never quite got going first half with nothing coming off for Nuihu, 2nd half much improved, well worked goal and made Burnley sit back and defend deeper, no clear cut chances to win it but a very fair and good point, on to Brum.
  20. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with what he says, I'm questioning why a club who were favourties to gain automatic promotion are seriously underperforming and don't seem to want to strengthen the side, Adkins words are just excuses for this.
  21. What about the 6 transfer windows prior to this that passed with hardly a ripple. Adkins can put whatever spin he wants on it but if I was a fan I'd be wanting some serious answers.
  22. A good rallying call Alan, really looking forward to tonight but what people have to reliase is its not the end of the world if we dont beat Burnley.
  23. Why does this situation seem almost unique to united though, the club are debt free and have two rich owners, surely even one reasonable signing would have at least kept the fans happy and needn't have cost a fortune, surely it can't be that bad...........can it???
  24. The Gunman - 6.5/10 - Sean Penn goes all Liam Neeson in a decent if undemanding action thriller with a decent cast.
