Jon you have constantly (boringly) stated on here that the only reason the Owls are where they are is due to spending money, Manchester Unite were the biggest spenders in the transfer window, why are they not walking the Premier League?

:hihi::hihi: The way I look at it - a few months ago we were trying to get in the play off places, we got in, then we were trying to stay in the play off places - we've done that, now we are looking at the automatic spots with those above dropping points - it can be done. Difficult but doable.

It's looking more and more evident that Mr Adkins got lucky at Southampton, his tenure at Reading was a disaster and united are even further behind than they were under the negative Clough. Not sure where you go from here.

I was always quite tolerant of united and had a few friends and aquaintances that I like to see them do well for, until that fateful season (was it 1990) when we went down (v. Forest) and they went up (v. Leicester), I had so much stick that day and subsequant months that it turned me against them forever. The following season was fantastic for us (possibly my best as an Owl) so it turned out well in the end.

I'm sure he'll put a full strength team out tonight mate, had a few indifferent results so need to get back on track.

I would suggest it is the worst if your looking at value for money and I'd rather eat at a place where the food has had a bit of care and attention put into rather than be decided in a boardroom and shipped in. The Owls stats produced yesterday certainly make for good reading, in the close season I was a little perturbed by the sacking of Mr Gray and perplexed by the appointment of Mr C but was determined to back him, the first few weeks of the season were indifferent but the turning point seemed to Bolton away, only a 0-0 draw but a first choice team emerged and a style of play was born. The football has been breathtaking at times with great contributions from Bannan, Forestieri, Lee, Hooper and many others making it a great team effort. We got through the difficult Xmas period with many injuries and still emerged with a good haul of points, the 'Boro game was the only real mis-step but had not been for such a quick 'Boro goal I think the outcome would have been different. Superb home form, showpiece goals, great football and real ambition, it's great to be an Owls at the moment WAWAW.

Couldn't make it today for family reasons but its one of the few occasions where I expected nothing less than a win, Brentford have looked poor on tv a couple of times recently and are on the slide, the early sending off was a boost but doesn't always guarentee a win, after that we did what sounded like a professional job and had the points sown up by half time, highest scorers in Championship now, what a contrast to last season, whilst it will still be a big ask the top two is now becoming a reality to aim for WAWAW.

Yeah I like the Scotsmans Pack, there are some good ones out in the Peaks but you have to look for them.

I think its tragic when these horrid pub chains take on great old pubs like Fox House and turn them into bland chain pubs, the Castle at Castleton (would you believe) suffered the same fate, if I was a walker i'd make I walked a bit further to avoid such garbage.

I think Warnocks well past his sell by date, never liked him in the past but I've warmed to him a little these days, any united fans that wants him back must be living in the dark ages.
