  1. Pretty much everyone has had a bad experience or two with landlords, but if you've had a particularly bad experience and want to share the details, or warn members of money-grabbing extortionists then post your stories! Mine.... My roof fell in - and a botch job of slapping some plaster on it.... still rain fell in had to move out into another room!! - rain still coming through, and didn't get sorted for weeks. When things did eventually get sorted, there was plaster on the walls, on the floor - which I had to clean up!!!!! poor work, the wall paper then started falling off.... Deposit for held back for weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks.... Stored most of the kitchen in the corridor for months and months. Expensive properties, charging way above and beyond anything that they are worth. Watch out, they have properties in crookes, broomhill, walkley....!!!!!!!!! BEWARE DON'T GET THEM!!!
  2. why not run a day when real graffiti artists can come and create an actual piece of artwork on your portacabin? then no kids will come and scribble over it. problem solved at source, and, to be honest, at no detriment to yourselves?
  3. it'll come down to whether or not you deviated from the original plans, nothing else.
  4. i voted yes, but i think it's right, without equipment. if you can card count, or whatever, that's a skill and should be allowed, albeit whilst using multiple decks. computers and things shouldn't be allowed, it's the same as robbing a bank, only slower.
  5. what's so bad about that? an automated process looks for keywords and throws out a few adverts, big deal...
  6. the fact of the matter is that residents of areas which have fluoridated water have better teeth than those that don't. our water has been fluoridated for years and years, do you not think that if there was any mass health scare about it then we would have heard more about it by now? why would the government bother to do it if it cost money and didn't help?? and i wouldn't follow the chemistry of that text too much, i've almost finished my training to become a chemistry teacher, and it uses a fair bit of carp to scare you. that acid dissociates and breaks down in water. so what if it is a by-product of industry, what isn't? yes, it is poisonous, in large doses. again, what isn't? water is, oxygen is, sunlight is. all the legal mumbo jumbo is pretty much irrelevant, too, as fluoridation is not counted as a medicine, hence is not regulated. if you ant to complain about that, then do so, but don't claim it's illegal.
  7. energiser did one a while back with a flying supermanbattery, saves the day during a wedding photo shoot. duracell have the bunny, have had him for ages.
  8. erm, we need this road now, we will only need it more in 2007. these people getting paid large sums of money... i'd hope that the best people for the job decide how my money is spent, and if the council has to pay them a large amount for their services, then so be it. better than getting a work experience student in to f*** it up.
  9. perhaps you should let everyone see it, so they can know what happens there, and sign up if they want to participate...
  10. women now fight men in professional boxing... and i would suggest that the game probably had an age rating, and the kid shouldn't have been playing.
