  1. I signed up with the Engery Saving Group in March 2011 for 'free' solar panels. Well it wasn;t quite free I had to pay a 500 deposit. After many many calls they told us in July 2011 we were no longer eligible. Since that time we have tried to get our deposit back with numerous calls and emails. Then we saw them on Watchdog - Steve Dixon the MD was on and he said everyone would get their deposit - alas it hasnt come - now our emails are sent back and their telephone numbers don't take calls - I just wondered if anyone else was in the same situation - and of course if anyone if considering this company - BEWARE - if they were that reputable they would be contactable in some way
  2. Can anyone do a full car valet this weekend? Many businesses are closed - Meadowhall Motorclean isn't answering. Thanks!
  3. Please keep a look out for a red and white boxer dog who went missing this morning in Bawtry Woods - answers to the name of Kimber (no collar on as she was suffering with a rash). Owners extremely upset and out looking - please let me know as soon as possible or if possible retain her so we can collect - many thanks for your help and vigilance KIMBER NOW FOUND! THANK YOU TO THOSE HELPING.
  4. I have had a few requests so I thought I would post Mick's mobile on here which is 07876011068 - I have been through a learning curve with this project so if anyone needs any advice please let me know -there are a lot of pitfalls - one is getting a quote and a builder not including everything - thankfully Tony and Mick itemised everything and put me straight on what should be included in any quote so I was able to compare equally - they were not the cheapest but I just felt they would do the best job - they have worked through all this cold weather and always turned up - if anyone wants to see the end product let me know and I will be happy to show off my new extensions Fern
  5. Hiya My builders Tony and Mick are just finishing my new extension this week - as like most builders they are now looking for work - I just thought I would post a recommendation for them on the Forum as I know how important it is to use workers who you can rely on and have been recommended by someone. They have done everything from groundworks to bricking to roofing to fitting windows. Their work has been excellent - they have been clean and tidy and respected my neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum. If anyone wants a quote for work nothing to big or small please pm me and I will pass your details to them. I am so happy with their work !!! Fern
  6. They make a point of saying they are not just internet based - the local offices are in Hackenthopre and Mosborough Village (above Pauline Coates solicitors) and they are looking to open a shop in Woodseats - so they tell me. As I said previously they have done exactly what they said they would and even been to the house 3 times to retake pictures to ensure they got the best. It has taken just over a week from signing to getting Board, upload onto Rightmove, brochures and HIP carried out.I know they still have to 'sell' my property but really I don;t see estate agents as sellers I see them as 'facilitators' to enable someone to purchase my house for a fair price. Should have asked for a discount for recommendation!!!!
  7. I have just put my property on the market with Key2go. I had most of the estate agents round to give me a quote In the end I knew I wanted the following service: Board Brochure with pics Advert on Rightmove Appointment maker Feedback Negotiator Vetting of an offer Instruction on HIP report Property match Regular updates They all offered this but with very different prices - I went for Keytogo as it was an upfront fee of £195 plus I think one of the cheapest HIP reports via Pauline Coates Solicitor of £230 ish and £500 on completion . No cancellation fee. No sole agency. They have 2 offices that you can visit so are not totally internet based. Most of the others wanted to charge a percentage fee of around 1 or 1.5 on completion and in my case it would have been a fortune as my property is expensive, Up to now I am very happy and will not be too dissappointed if I don;t sell - it will be more to do with the current climate and banks not lending rather than the estate agent. I am trying to buy a property and no matter what anyone says no estate agent could 'sell' me a property if I was not interested . My only method of buying is to look on rightmove and send for info, visit the property first to check out location and then view. Good luck with your sale - we will need it
