  1. Hi all, I used to live in sheffield and lived in both bramell lane and kelham island I liked both areas but i was in apartments. I am planning to return to sheffield and wantbto buy a 3-4 bedroom house. Which areas do you recommend for buying hous? I like it to be in a safe area where i am relaxed and feel safe leaving my wife at home and bot worried about people breaking in. What are the sort of prices i am looking to pay? I have a mate living in hillsbrough and it seemed like a nice area also another friend of mine lives in pitsmoor which people say it is crazy bad but i have known him for years and always go there and the area seems safe and sound! I know Whirlow is a top area but that is too far from city center , i want to be somewhere close to city center. Many thanks for your help
  2. Hi Guys, I am thinking of renting my flat in sheffiled. I have blundells, winkworth and martin and co I am inclined toward martin co with their charges/all assurance and their customer service. I guess they do the same for thier tenants so be nice to them and ... what are you suggestions and any experience with them Thanks buddies
  3. Hi Guys, I am planning to let my 1 bed flat in Kelham Island I have never done letting before and I am considering the options, I can either do it my self and deal with all the hassle of finding and showing the place to the tenant or the option that i am more inclined toward is to rent it through agency. so I appreciate any suggestions or ideas on things and issues that i may not anticipate ( problems that comes with experience or been a landlord) I also appreciate any help on how to deal with agents and how they work and what to look for thanks to all
  4. Hi Guys, I am about to move home and need to hire a big van. I am 23 male which makes it difficult to get good deals. I have spoken to europhire i think it is and they quoted me £75 plus £15 insurance so excess has to be paid for the car which is a long wheel based van. Does any one know of a better and cheaper place? By the way do you know the normal mpg on this cars? thanks

  9. i am with you and totally agree. However the reason I am thinking that I may be able to find a new job is because as said earlier my mate said he handed his CV to job agency and they found him a job (clerk) after 1 or 2 days. He started without any interviews with a one week temp contract and then was moved to a permanent role. I do not know how feasible that will be and that is why i thought I may ask the question before wasting my time and creating CV and....
  10. I am with you but I do not want to stay for a company that i don't like to work for while I am searching for proper job which can take a while. That is the point
  11. By the way sheffield city center area would be my preference
  12. Hi everyone, I am about to finish university in few weeks and are looking for a temporary full time job. I have already got a job but are not happy with it thus want to find some other reasonable jobs such as customer service. I may only work for a short period as I am looking for an proper IT graduate job but in the meantime do not want to waste the time. So my questions are : Are you aware of any good vacancy ? I have previously handed my CV to job agencies for part time job but they never get back to you as most of them mostly do full time jobs . My CV is not bad and i think is reasonable so my impression is that they just don’t have any part time jobs. do you think this is correct ? Do you think they are any useful and helpful at finding you a job ? one of my mate said that he handed his CV in and after few days they got him a job without even interviewing him if you think job agencies are useful could you please give me name of some of the useful ones. And lastly any advice is greatly appreciated. Many thanks
  13. Hi guys, I have few bits and pieces that I am not using it any more and want to sell some of them and donate it to charity. As I haven't done this sort of things before don't know where to start. by this I mean I don't if there are any sort of shops that you could walk into and sell your old stuff that is no longer needed, kind of shop such as scrapyard for car where they buy any thing you may have. so to make this clear here are my question. Is there any second shop or any sort of shop that I could sell my home stuff to ?(things such as stereo, ward draw or old TV, fridge). Second question is, if I donate something to charity (which i have number of times) what would happen to it if they can't sell it, would they just bin it or leave outside for people to take it ? other question is, if I have some metal parts where can i take it to sell it ? and finally do you guys think it is possible to sell second hand car part to scrap yard?( I know I can just phone them but before that I thought it worth asking you guys if any one knows). I know i have asked quite few questions and appreciate any helps. The reason i am asking this question for example is I have some decent stuff which i could sell it and make money. however I have decided to give it to charity and want to ensure it is used by other people and not ending up in the bin(I have seen charity shops leave some of their stuff outside their shop and that is what that gave me this perception). thank u
