  1. We were extremely proud to have watched and held this event on Saturday. Dalton "Thunder" Smith put on a spectacle in his hometown of Sheffield to defeat Sam O'maison. Claiming the previously vacant British Super-Lightweight Title at Utilita Arena Sheffield after a TKO meant derby victory over Sam O’Maison in the sixth round. The 25-year-old wants to get the whole city behind him as he hopes to bring more big nights back to Sheffield. 2. Smith Lands British Title Shot Against O'Maison in Sheffield Super-Lightweight star headlines August 6 card in home city Dalton Smith will face Sam O’maison for the vacant British Super-Lightweight Title at the Utilita Arena Sheffield on Saturday August 6, live worldwide on DAZN (excluding Australia and New Zealand). Smith (11-0, 9 KOs), one of the hottest prospects in world boxing, claimed his first pro title at Manchester Arena in May 2021 – dominating Lee Appleyard and forcing a punishing sixth-round stoppage to earn the vacant English Title. Sheffield’s most successful amateur boxer of all time added the vacant WBA Intercontinental Title to his collection by widely outpointing Spain’s Brian Pelaez at the Worthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt, Austria four months later. The 25-year-old halted Ray Moylette in the tenth and final round of a one-sided contest for the WBC International Silver Title at the First Direct Arena in Leeds in March before defending that belt with a sixth-round stoppage win over tough Argentinian Mauro Perouene earlier this month in Cardiff. O’maison (17-3-1, 7 KOs), a former English Super-Lightweight Champion, shared two close contests with Luton’s Kay Prospere in 2019, drawing the first and losing the second, before returning to winning ways with a points win over Serge Ambomo in May. Derby Super-Lightweight Sandy Ryan (3-1, 2 KOs) gets an immediate shot at redemption against Erica Anabella Farias (27-5, 10 KOs) after suffering her first defeat in the pros at the hands of the former World Champion from Argentina on the Leigh Wood vs. Michael Conlan undercard in March. Romford Heavyweight sensation Johnny Fisher (5-0, 4 KOs) returns to the ring after recovering from a hand injury that he suffered in his points win over Gabriel Enguema in front of over 2,000 of his ‘Romford Bull Army’ at the famous Alexandra Palace in February. Hyde Lightweight prospect Campbell Hatton (7-0, 2 KOs) fights for the third time this year after notching wins over Joe Ducker at The O2 in London in February and Ezequiel Gregores at the AO Arena in Manchester in April. Leeds Super-Bantamweight talent Hopey Price (7-0, 3 KOs) gets his second outing of the year, heavy-handed Manchester Cruiserweight Jordan Thompson (13-0, 11 KOs) looks to make it two KOs from two fights in 2022 and there’s action for Mansfield Bantamweight Nico Leivars (1-0) and Rotherham Super-Welterweight pro debutant Junaid Bostan. “World Championship boxing at Hillsborough’s the goal, so headlining the arena for the British Title is a great milestone along the way,” said Smith. “It’s a venue that has seen some huge fights - Naz, Nelson, Hatton and Brook to name a few. Now I feel it’s my turn. “Sam is heavy-handed and an awkward southpaw, but I think my best beats his best so that’s what I need to deliver. It’s going to be a right atmosphere!” "When I found out about this fight I was over the moon, becoming British Champion has been a childhood dream of mine!" said O'maison. "I know Dalton fairly well and sparred him a few times so I know this fight won't be easy by any means, these calibre of fights never are but I 100% believe in myself. The icing on the cake for me is that it’s a Sheffield derby at the Utilita Arena Sheffield! No doubt the atmosphere will be electric knowing Sheffield supporters! Roll on August 6." "It's Sheffield vs. Sheffield for the prestigious British Super-Lightweight Title on August 6 and a chance for one of the most exciting talents in world boxing Dalton Smith to headline his first ever show in his home city," said Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Sport Chairman. "Dalton has been flawless so far in the professional ranks and I truly believe that he is a World Champion-in-waiting. He has a tough assignment against Sam O'maison and the arena is sure to be bouncing for an all-Sheffield main event. We have a host of young talent looking to make an impression on the undercard - catch it all live on DAZN." “Alongside the mega fights, DAZN are always looking to showcase the best up and coming talent around on our shows”, said Ed Breeze, EVP Rights at DAZN. “This card has some of the most exciting young fighters in British Boxing who are destined for the very top. This fight night is not to be missed! August 6, live worldwide on DAZN."

Joining the podcast’s regular hosts England heroes James Haskell and Mike Tindall, Dylan Hartley will be on the panel for The Good, The Bad And The Rugby – LIVE when it kicks off at Sheffield City Hall on Friday, April 29. The LIVE tour will be the first ever outing for the hit podcast which, since launching in summer 2020, has grown to become the UK’s top sporting podcast, with more than 3million listeners and 20million-plus viewers online. Joining James and Yorkshire-born Mike will be their podcast co-host former Sky Sports’ rugby presenter Alex Payne. The trio will take to the stage to recreate the trademark banter they have on air, as The Good (Alex), The Bad (James) And The Rugby (Mike), share tales from on and off the pitch for what promises to be a night filled with surprises and laughter. Announcing the tour, Mike said: “Since launching The Good, The Bad And The Rugby podcast, we’ve all become even closer, through the stories we’ve shared ourselves and the stories our guests have shared. Now we can’t wait to get on the road, with more tales from our rugby lives, and to meet our listeners–and maybe hear a few stories from them.” Episodes of the podcast have featured glimpses into each of the men’s lives – earlier this year, Mike announced his son’s dramatic birth on the bathroom floor, alongside guest appearances from some of the rugby world’s biggest stars. James added: “We have so much fun creating each episode of The Good, The Bad And The Rugby, getting stuck into a whole range of topics for 90minutes. Mike and I have enjoyed touring life with England–and now we’ve got our own tour...It’s going to be great!” And Alex said: “It’s a pleasure to bring James and Mike to the table each week, when we sit and put the world to rights – and what better way to celebrate that, than by taking it out on tour?"

Hailed as the The Guardian's Number 1 comedy performance to come out of 2020 (The Guardian are miserable and usually hate everything) - this high-octane show brings nuclear-energy belly laughs and pant-wetting observations which prove laughter really is the best medicine* (*actually, it’s probably hospital medicine). He’s also a writer, actor, and presenter. He drinks lots of coffee and is ‘like that in real life’. He was the first ever comedian to bag the two most prestigious comedy awards on earth in the same year, for the same show: The Dave's Edinburgh Comedy Awards (formerly The Perrier), and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Award, (formerly known as the Barry Award). He’s also a raving bighead that likes listing his achievements. ‘Russell Kane has made his name with verbose, hyperactive comedy – and he shows no sign of slowing down’ (THE I) ‘Fierce, funny and heartfelt... a thrilling reminder of what comedy can do’ (THE GUARDIAN) ‘Storming physical comedy... splendidly manic’ ***** (MAIL ON SUNDAY)
