  6. Unibet Premier League Darts on 2nd July (previously 9th April) has been postponed & re-scheduled to Thursday 15th October 2020 Announcement issued 9th April 2020 10am:- The FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield is set to host the culmination of the Unibet Premier League season after the visit of the world's top darts players was put back to Thursday October 15. April's planned Premier League night in Sheffield had been originally postponed to July 2 as one of a number of rescheduled dates forced by the suspension of the season last month. However, the July date has now been moved back to October 15 - which means that Sheffield is now in line to host the semi-finals and final of the Premier League season in one dramatic night, should there be no further changes needed to the revised schedule. Tickets purchased for the original league night will remain valid for the new date - if you have already received you tickets they're still valid for the new date - you just need to show up on the night and they'll be accepted. Should you have any further questions there's lots of information in our FAQ’s. Any fans unable to attend the new date of the 2nd July are entitled to a refund from their point of purchase. If your question is not answered in the FAQ's above or you require a refund please email the Arena Box Office on boxoffice@flydsaarena.co.uk Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience and we appreciate your patience during this very busy and challenging period.

  15. Bosses at the ten Ice Hockey Elite League clubs have cancelled all matches with immediate effect. League chiefs had hoped to complete the regular season and in the wake of last evening’s government guidelines, based on the up-to-the-minute scientific advice to allow sporting fixtures to continue, that seemed possible. League bosses staged an emergency conference call after the Government’s latest announcement on the coronavirus outbreak. Impending restrictions on crowd sizes in Scotland were an issue that was being further considered overnight. However, since then two teams have now reported they have players in self-isolation purely as a precaution but the health and safety of our fans, players and staff has to be paramount. In the wake of that news the Elite league has no choice but to shut down the rest of the season. The league feels it has taken its ‘can-do, will-do’ efforts to the limit and whilst the outcome is sure to disappoint fans across the country there was no alternative in these unprecedented times. We are confident everyone will understand the rationale behind the league’s decision. Steelers owner and EIHL boss Tony Smith has been chairing many meetings and conference calls in the last week, leading to this mornings decision to cancel the EIHL for the remainder of this season. “It’s been a tough week on many levels,” said Smith “We have to take so many things into account, most importantly the health of our players, fans and staff. “We looked at every option possible but as stated in the EIHL media release we had no option but to take this very disappointing decision this morning. “We are sure many fans have so many questions relating to purchased tickets, season tickets and play off’s. Can we please ask that you all refrain from contacting either the Arena or our offices until early next week when further statements will have been issued.
