Thanks everyone.Been reading about signal distortion/broadband problems if cable length is changed from original installation (don't mean coax cable)- is that just Virginmedia speak and £99 charge policy?

I've just redecorated and want to move my Virgin Tivo box and hub to the other side of the room but the cable isn't long enough. Currently, got a single feed in from the street then a 2 way splitter. Do I need a Virgin engineer or can I just buy an extension cable and connectors? Any help appreciated thanks.

My son is a similar age and also had a hefty insurance quote but he is paying it monthly. It's called learning about life and rsponsibilities and having a parent who knows right from wrong - something you are choosing to ignore for some reason. GEt THIS - Your complete and utter disregard for the law and other people's safety is appalling and as a parent you are condoning some seriously frightening behaviour. If he were to hurt someone would you make excuses for that too?
