  1. I think the salvation army are always looking for knits for the homeless
  2. I'd have been interested in having a stall, could you let me know who organised it please? I can ask to be put on the mailing list then. Thanks Nadine
  3. Hi, We still have places available. Price is £27 for adults and £23 for kids. Contact me on handsworthstitch@aol.com if you are interested. Cheers Nadine
  4. I'm organising a bus trip to the knitting and stitching show at Harrogate on Saturday 28th November. The bus will leave from Handsworth. Price to be confirmed but will be around the £25 mark, still waiting for coach prices. Anyone interested?
  5. Didn't mean getting PLI was an issue. I meant it as its something people ask for that new starters might not think of.
  6. A good place to look is http://www.stallfinder.com but alot of fair organisers are now asking for stall holders to have PLI. Good luck.
  7. Try a company called Readicut.
  8. As a metallurgist I can say there is nothing wrong with a mig weld if, like everything in life, it is done correctly.
  9. This thread is nearly two years old and the original person was looking for people to knit for her as a business.
  10. The Crafty Crafters meet every other friday evening at Stradbrook Community Association. Friendly group who do all sorts of craft and always willing to help each other out.
  11. Another site to try is http://www.ravelry.com some patterns you have to buy but alot are free.
  12. Keep an eye on here. Look on http://www.stallfinder.com. Look on facebook there are groups like Yorkshire Craft Fairs.
  13. One good place to look is http://www.stallfinder.com. Alot of organisers now only want stall holders with valid public liability insurance and if you are trading you are supposed to be registered with the taxman. Not trying to put you off, although it sounds like it, just trying to warn you of pitfalls. Good luck.
