  1. I don't have the patience to write all my thoughts on this one
  2. We make more steel now than we did before the strikes and closures, with a tenth of the workforce. The more we learn about Blair the more concerned I am that in this day and age we can be taken to war by a self serving religious zealot. Who thinks he is carrying out the will of god.
  3. These two aren't in the '60 Kelly's in the 39 it's 143 Sandall Clifford bricklayer 145 Revill Harry, Hairdresser I can't really remember this area exactly I wonder if they were knocked down before the others
  4. The car they were looking for was a Morris 1000 Traveller. I had one at the time. I was interviewed about a year later. Somehow I managed to remember what I was doing a year earlier, normally I can't remember what I was doing yesterday.
  5. And they SMASHed them all to bits I'd like to buy the world a coke An ology you've got an ology
  6. Stick the address on here, there are plenty of ne'erdowells with nothing better to do. They will look it up for you.
  7. The old Rivelin hotel on Bole Hill Rd. Which lost it's roof in the Sheffield storm was always Polly's.
  8. Talk to your mum with your auntie present to give you a bit of support.
  9. About time apparently he was doing some cruise work. I'll try and get down.
  10. I recall Stan Stothard I think he was a special Constable. Its coming back now he worked at National Tyres. He was also a scout leader at St Mary's I think. Busy man. I think I new his son as well. Bradley St. I think.

  12. This has set me thinking. Will land owners be able to give leases after 2040
  13. Over the past few years sheffield council has sold parcels of building land with a 125 year lease. Do these leases still fall into the 2040 scheme
  14. Check with Fowler Sandford, they are agents for the D of N
  15. Just to warn people gold is weighed in troy oz. not avoirdupois. 1 troy oz is aprox 1.1 avoirdupois oz. so don't try and weigh it on the kitchen scales
  16. It will be interesting to compare Gordons apology with Kevin Rudd's. There was no political agenda, he did it without fake sincerity. I can almost write Gordon's apology for him. My presbiterian upbringing makes this treatment of fellow men abhorant. I will be trying my upmost to instigate a full enquiry into why it happened. Blah Blah

  18. On a note on my mortgage document there is a charge of £100 or £50 or similar to remove or add a name to the mortgage. So it must be a fairly common request.
  19. I could smell smoke this morning 9.30 at Thryberg it reminded me of Shefffield in the 50s
  20. It really is very easy, even with a half inch hole. You have the luxury of the hole being big enough to shine a torch in if you need to.
  21. Usually you have to have completed a year, and have not been in arrears. Definitely ring the company directly. Even if it is not stated on the loan document, it may be available on your product. Don't think you are begging for a favour, they either will or won't it's not at the managers discression. Obviously the money has to be repaid within the terms of the mortgage but you will not be charged for missing payments. I assume your problem is cash flow now, so go for it.
  22. Allthough you can drop a piece of string through and catch it with a bit of bent wire (coat hangar). You could also dangle a magnet on a piece of string and catch it with the same piece of wire
  23. NHS should talk to the squatters, the first time they make a demand in exchange for access to equipment. They can be charged with extortion.
