  1. How do you get on with this neighbour? Is he a reasonable sort and do you have a good relationship with him? That's probably your best clue as to the validity of his claim.
  2. That's a pretty strong denial. A bit like a vote of confidence. I'll give it two weeks!
  3. Thanks for that. I'd completely forgotten where I'd left it.
  4. Apparently will be closed until next week as all stock needs to be replaced because of smoke damage. Even the kippers?
  5. As opposed to "moved out" as the bin man had to do because he lost his job because he couldn't pay his rent? :hihi:
  6. I also keep my headlight on full beam all the time.
  7. An excellent response but,I'm afraid, incorrect in one small detail. You can't get stung by a rattlesnake,or any other snake for that matter. You get stang off of a rattlesnake.
  8. You don't need to go there. I'm sure you could get some delivered with the rest of your shopping.
  9. What do you mean by integrating? What do you want from them? Perhaps they could come round and do you a bit of shopping. All of them, seeing as we are generalising.
  10. I also avoid filtering, unless the traffic line is stationary and there is nowhere for anyone to go out of the line. I don,t like the (legal) use of bus lanes either. People are even less likely to expect someone pass on their left! Boring, aren't I ?
  11. And that's why,on a bike,I need to be even more aware,it won't just be dented metal! I get a feel for when vehicles are going to pull out and try to watch for the "head turn"! If I don't see it I hang well back. Of course unless there is something too close behind and I have judge where I'll be least vulnerable. ---------- Post added 20-09-2015 at 20:39 ---------- It would have to be a spelling mistake aswell!
  12. As a motorcyclist I am constantly checking my mirrors as part of a general 360 degree general awareness. This is because I have little control over what's happening behind me. I want to know immediately if anyone's getting too close so that I can either let them pass or accelerate out of their way, depending what I think is safest. This is a habit that I carry over into my car and van driving. We all have more control over what is happening in front and to the sides of us. Behind is where the main danger lies. One thing that does dismay me is how many people don't seem to see the value of looking over their shoulder to check the blind spot and rely totally on their mirrors.
  13. It was Flamborough. Perhaps you should apologise to him.
  14. That'd be molly coddeling them. Get 'em runover, that'll teach 'em a lesson that they'll thank you for in years to come.
  15. Because his name is Kendo and there can't be that many people called that.
  16. [/color] Boy band, they all played instruments Ringo????
