  1. Any thoughts on the mirena coil ladies? weight gain/mood swings/spots/spotting in between periods/any actual periods? Ta!
  2. Really wear yourself out in the day... An early evening gym session (so straight after work at 5pm) A warm milky drink before bed... Not having a heavy meal too close to bed time.... Not doing any "work" or using the laptop in the bedroom. Trying not to use the laptop too close to bed time... Listening to gentle/calming music... Laying still with your eyes closed and focussing on your breathing... Or the one which really works for me, laying on my tummy... I fall straight to sleep when I'm on my tummy Hope that helps! (from someone who used to have sleep related issues - but now has just fallen in love with sleep!)
  3. Well, what other reason would there be to get married? I genuinely cannot abide by people who do it for money/security or for any other reason than the fact that they have met the one they want to spend the rest of their life with.
  4. If people enter marriage with this view point there's no wonder so many fail! It's about only getting married if its what you really want and when you do take those vows, thoroughly understanding them and meaning every letter. All too often it seems that "until death do us part" is interpreted as "until it no longer suits".
  5. The compensation is not based upon the "type" of accident, its based upon medical evidence, the length of the Expert's prognosis and the treatment reccommended to assist your recovery.
  6. Haha I think thats what they saw in me, hence putting me in the fraud team. Haha
  7. This sounds like quite a bargain, I usually pay £10 for them done at debenhams... I have had them done at Debenhams a few times and they're really good... Mint can be a bit hit or miss. They seem to have a problem with my eyebrows being blonde... Just because they are light doesnt mean that I can get away with them being messy!
  8. I'm trying to get a few of the new girlies to come along Having done a bit of you-tubing this evening it looks like a flat-shoe event... haha
  9. Yeah, I do uninsured loss recovery. Do you do regular personal injury? Its hard not to abbreviate haha
  10. Most insurers are party to the MOU, so a GP report is pretty standard without explanation as to why another expert needs to be instructed.
  11. If this is the case and your suffering beyond the initial expert's prognosis (will usually be a GP) then you should be seen by an Ortho. Thats the next step - or a different specialist if your symptoms are a little bit different. This being the case if you havent settled the matter yet. I worry that people just see the £££ and close their case and suffer way longer...
  12. Definately! I love the feeling of wearing pointy heels, it makes me feel so feminine :-) I've bought another pair today with cute bows on them... They make my calves look lovely
  13. Mmmm - very sweet but lovely! I like their Vanilla stuff
  14. Haha I posted this 5 years ago and it still hasnt changed! I still love Clinique happy for the day and I'm now a big fan of Chanel Chance for the evening... I'm a huge fan of men wearing a touch of aftershave... not too much though! Issiye Miyake/Lacoste/Hugo Boss are favourites
  15. It all massively depends on how long the medical expert supports your injuries for. An initial offer is likely to be too low or a "pay off" to get rid of you and your claim. Check out the Judicial Studies Board (JSB) guidelines for the correct level of compensation. Compare this against case law applicable to your injuries and length of suffering and this will provide a guide as to how much compensation you should expect.
  16. Put me and 3 others down as maybe's Q's - is this one night? How much deposit and when? Roughly how much overall? Thanks!
  17. The short answer is "no" - the more detailed answer is that I'd want to know what it was that was getting to him. Adjustments can be made; but I don't think anyone should have the right to tell you to stop that or anything absolutely. Most things can be resolved if you just talk about it between you.
  18. As the weather gets nicer why not plan to meet other mums in a park for a picnic? You can liase with them and each bring an item - the kids will entertain themselves and you can chat amongst the other parents. It'd be cheaper than just taking the little ones on your own as you only have to contribute say a few rounds of sarni's or some cakes etc and it'd help the kids learn how to share
  19. Tackle the root of the problem(s) - spend half an hour working out a plan of how things are going to change so that you don't have to feel this rubbish again. Then make it happen! Draw a line under that, accept its been a bad day and now you need some "you" time Call a friend and talk about their news (let them take your mind off your problem) run a bath, get a glass of wine and relax! Stick one of your fave CD's on and have a lil sing along or dance around the room to it if the mood takes you Focus your mind on something else... and up and coming holiday - a visit to a friend... Then go to sleep and start afresh the next day
  20. What I really like about the Queens Road bus gate is the fact that over 90% of buses that take the route right down to the end of the road (across from the casino) need to be in the right hand lane to continue their journey into the City Centre anyway. This causes a bottle neck with the bus stop (which is very busy as all the college kids get off there), the end of the bus lane where traffic wants to cut in and the traffic lights. There's usually some consternation of a morning for me to chuckle at I love Sheffield!
