In the 70's. I lived in High green..Quite high up.. during a storm... if you looked in the right direction (across towards Ecclesfield)..you could see some fantastic Lightning in the sky and hear massive thunderclaps that followed. My mum told me that if it Thunders and Lightens... It means that 'Iv'e done something naughty'...! Yeah me and me palls just scromped half a dozen Apples and a few pears from the local farm.. Hardly worthy of being struck down by Lightning, I think..! Good proper storms though..Not like the whimpy little effots we see today.!

Good stuff...I actually failed My First Driving test..!. My Driving Instructor couldn't fathom why>? My First test was at Milldlewood and lasted almost an hour..! My Driving Instructor re-arranged the test for the next day at Manor top.. After 20 Minutes of Driving I passed..! Work that one out?

Does anyone remember the original shape of Glass Milk Bottles?.. Wide at the bottom but slender at the top. A bit like a Pint glass (UPSIDEDOWN!!). I used to love those bottles. Are those the ones used by the OP?

Since the time you passed your driving test..! When I was learning to drive back in the early 80's...With BSM...My driving instructor told me, when I go for my Test, if the examiner takes you on a dual carriageway with a speed limit of 40MPH...Then DO 40 MPH...! Bang on...Great reply.

Amusing or Not...I once overheard a Group of Americans visiting the Wednesday Stadium a few years ago. They referred the main road as 'Penis Tone'..! 'Penis tone' Road..!! You literally couldn't make this stuff up.!

These days....a lot of folks are way too busy on their phones. It's a fantastic distraction for a would be thieve. I see it |Every day|...Folks going up the Escalators in ASDA..Glued to their phones...Not a care about their Handbag and purse..!!! Crazy sign of the times or just carelessness?

Most (LOCAL) folk know about that road. The Bikers and Car drivers slow down...But once passed the speed camera...Different story.!
