  1. Hi I need a recommendation for a good cleaner , to do a one off whole house clean. 3 bed terrace in Hillsborough before it goes on the market. I dont live in Sheffield anymore so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again
  2. Restructuring is a commercial decision that happens in businesses everywhere. Get on with it, you never know you might even like it !! I work a 45 hour week minimum , any o/t is unpaid , its a fast moving business and there's a change everyday. I love my job i'd never jack it in and change is just part of life, otherwise you'll get left behind.
  3. why don't the people striking or supporting the strike realise its not the 70's and that the the demise of trade unions happened for a reason, the world of work has changed! I'm not saying that you should take whatever employment changes are imposed on you , but striking within this economic climate is irresponsible. Eventually people will take their business away from Royal Mail and then you'll be sat on the dole queue not the picket line. The world of work has changed, unfortunately its not nice but people do need to change with it. Gone are the days where you have a job for life, a final salary pension, loads of holidays etc etc In are the days of no pension, 20 days holiday, globilisation, competition, flexible workforce , multiskilling and if you don't do you job you get booted and when a company realise it costs less to outsource the work they do it. I feel for the business's who rely on RM to operate lets hope that the small business people don't go under as a result of the strike action. Rant over. Thanks x
  4. Revive at Broomhill... they do special offer days for 10quid , any other is 15. they do aa superb job x
  5. your deposit the 15% will be paid before, this is paid to the solicitor before you can exchange contracts, then the mortgage comp will pay the remaining 85% usually on completion day, you then usually get all call from your estate agent or solicitor to say come pick up your keys. Good luck with the move x
  6. Are your first time buyer or selling a property and buying a new one? Stamp duty is taken at completion, so its on your completion statment from the solicitor and has to be paid before the house is yours. On your other question , dependant on the chain, the payment usually happens between the mortgage company and the solicitor on the day or day before you get your keys. Does that help ?
  7. he would most likely just get a caution, but then if he gets crb checked for any job with local council, children, housing, banks, and well anyone really it will show as a drugs offence, and a firend of mine was unable to get visa's for both OZ and the US for doing the same thing, caution is a slap on the wrist but can cause problems with other things
  8. who said go back on benefits ? the op's attitude is admirable for at least caring about the situation. I agree he doesnt need to worry about the agency, he should air on the side of caution with his employer bearing in mind they have asked the op to lie and not bothered with a contract. Not scaremongering but more being streetwise and knowing where you stand if the sxxt hits the fan, and when the company may decide you are surplus to requirements you have written rights and notice entitlement as opposed to zip all which is what the op has at the mo. In my experience a lot of companies treat employees like absolute crXp as opposed to employment agencies. to the OP if you dont have a contract of employment, ensure you keep all you payslips as these will qualify as a form of contract that you are working for the company. Good Luck x
  9. sounds like your employer is manipulating you a bit, it would prob cost them £2000 to take you on. If it were me i'd keep your head down, dont lie to the agency i would just not say anything, and look for another job fast as your employer seems to be stringing you a line and actually probably knows you dont want to be back on benefits so is using the situation to manipulate you. Be careful, ask for a written contract as any employer that does not give one is breaking the law. And if they cant afford a £2000 agency fee they are probably in deep financial trouble.
  10. 7K !!! at most the agency fee will be 20% of annual salary unless you are being paid over 40k , and in a profession that is highly skilled engineers etc which may go to 30% for very senior salaries. terms for agencies are usually along the lines of up to 20k salary 15-20% over 20k 20-22.5%. at work we have 15% agreed with all agencies that supply us in any discipline up to 50k salaries. So if you are being told they want 7k.... you must be on about 46k. Are you ? I would suggest that your employer is the one lying to you as if they can afford a 46k salary they can afford to pay a fee. Verbal contract ? you could be back on benefits before you know it , sound like a bit of a horror story for me. good luck xx
  11. 1. When the agency find out you are there , they will approach the company and tell them a fee is payable, it is their terms of business that they send when they send out a temp invoice for the work that you've done. 2. They will find out in time, they wont be stupid , and probably know the way this company operates. 3. The agency may decide not to pursue for payment as they may deem it not worth it, but they are a business trying to make money like anyone else and would the company you work for refuse to pay another supplier for goods they have received ?? probably not. 4. you wont need to pay anything, but if you lie to the agency and find yourself without a job again , then what ? the agency did find you a job after all . saying nothing is better than lying, or if your employer wants to lie let them bloody do it. 5. Be very worried you dont have a contract of employment. I work in HR and yes have worked for companies who will try to get out of paying a fee for someone , but see if they will negotiate the fee down , to an affordable amount. 6. Go see HR , all sounds like a disaster wating to happen and I have never known and employer ask a candidate to lie.... sound like cowboys to me. What sort of job do you do ? surely the agency fee would be nominal say 1500 pounds or something, how long have you temped there ?
  12. when i came off citalopram, i went back in the doctors to review the situation etc. The way she described it to me was that my serotin was so depleted that the drug had kick started it going again. Ive been off for some time now , so something ovbviously worked and worked very well. Theres still a big stigma with mental illness and i really dont understand why. We take pills to treat every other part of the body , but its still taboo for the brain. Why ?
  13. I really can just imagine them all !! Get yourself on a spa week with the girls pure bliss, leave him on his todd , see what he says then !!
