Brilliant thanks for the help, going to be taking granny for a good old fashioned trip down memory lane. It must have been the early 90s when I last visited Skeggy and I was but a young lass back then..no clue on car parking!! Fingers crossed it doesn't chuck it down on the day we go. Thanks again -
Planning on taking a day trip to Skegness within the next couple of weeks:banana:. Its a good few years since i've been and was wondering if anyone could tell me where the best places to park are?

The Cult, The Mission, and Killing Joke @ Motorpoint Arena
voodoo dolly replied to Arena Mole's topic in Evenings Out
I've just found out that the venue has changed to the O2 Academy. Tickets are not valid and will need to be exchange at point of purchase, my brother booked tickets via Ticketmaster for me so how do i go about changing the tickets? I'm not altogether happy at the venue change considering the tickets cost over £80.... 80 quid to go to the O2!!! -
Recommend a good place to get my ears pierced
voodoo dolly replied to sarahba's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I've had mine done twice, the first time was around 5 years ago at F Hinds in Crystal Peaks, i had it done free because i volunteered myself to be a guinea pig for a trainee. I think it usually costs around £20 but its worth asking if they need volunteers for their trainees again. I had my second piercing last year at the tattoo place in Crystal Peaks market it cost £10 and i have to say they've healed much better than the ones i had done at Hinds. -
72 Hours? I missed the postie this morning with my package which also needed signing for. I can pick it up tomorrow from the halfway depot, bloody glad about it too, its my red hair dye and there's no way i could've waited 72 hours for it!!!

Ha Lizzie and her homemade grog, swigging cough medicine for a quick fix! When the freak put on them gloves, you know she meant business .. Meg Morris' endless pining for her dead husband, Erica Davidson and her helmet of hair, Doreen, Jude......they just don't make em like that anymore!!! -

I look mardy on the bus all the time..there's nowt to smile about!! When i venture on one it usually starts with me being stared at until i reach my destination (the seat), i sit down knees get jammed because there's little leg room and the whole thing smells like wee and sweaty armpits!! To top it all off i almost always get someone sitting behind with a phlegmy old cough and end up wondering what the hell i'll find in my hair when i get off the damn thing!

Yes i know Sheffield has its problems and bad areas but so does every other part of this country! I was furious when i saw the article in todays People by Mr Nigel Nelson about how this city is basically a dive full of druggies and no hopers and is in a worse state than depicted in The Full Monty 15 years ago. He visited the Castle Market area and found that the stall doing the most business was the one selling drug paraphinalia etc! Its bloody typical how Sheffield gets this crap everytime, we all should just kill ourselves if this article is anything to go by...we're all doomed in this city...doomed

My Pup has skin trouble can anyone help?
voodoo dolly replied to my eyes only's topic in Sheffield Pet Owners
A few years ago we had a cat who all of a sudden developed a bad skin problem. He was constantly scratching and licking himself until the skin became red and so sore it began weeping. We tried everything, i think even the vet was baffled!! It was around the time that Frontline flea treatment became available that we discovered using it not only got rid of fleas, but cleared the problem up and worked absolute wonders on him. He never suffered again from the problem and had a perfect healthy coat after that! I'm not saying it works this way on all animals but its certainly worth a try, we were so relieved that it eased his frustration and discomfort and maybe it can help your little one to -
Oh how i empathise with your dilemma!! Last year my 17 year old cat Timmy died and my other 3 year old cat Molly was totally distraught, she'd been brought into the house as a kitten and funnily enough saw Timmy as her ''mother'', they would always be found snuggled up together somewhere..they were inseperable! Molly was really low and it was heartbreaking seeing her search for Timmy so after thinking long and hard i decided to get a kitten as a companion for Molly, it was through a very kind and compassionate lady here on the forum who brought little 3 month old Alfie into our lives and away from his not so nice life. I wanted Molly to have a friend, not a replcement just a buddy to help her along, she wasn't used to being alone. It was difficult at first i gradually introduced them and let them decide how things were going to be and now although Alfie is top dog and a boistrous little tyke, a year later they get on well and i'm so glad they have eachother.
