Just to let you all know, despite a really short chain, we have only just moved! The searches etc all went through quickly but due to complications with the property we were buying and their solicitors not communicating there were many delays. I never expected it to take this long!

We are currently using this lady with our mortgage for our house move. She has been great - responds really quickly- always calls when she says she will - has given us pros and cons of all options and came to our house to pick up all our documents. Really recommend her. Thanks for all your replies. We have first time buyers buying our house and the people we are buying from are moving into rented so a very small chain. It sounds like the property market hasn't done anything to speed up the transactions lol. I thought as less properties were being bought and sold that things may be quicker but from your posts it sounds like thats not the case. Fingers crossed and with a bit of pushing from me we will be in soon x

Has anyone moved house recently? How long is it taking to move house from offer to completion? I'm hoping things are going through quickly due to time of year and slow housing market. Any advice or info greatly appreciated x

I live in Dronfield and have done for the last 10 years. It's a great place to live. Good schools, loads of parks for the kids, good pubs for the adults and quite a few restaurants/takeaways. A nice sports centre and good local shops and supermarkets. In regards to area I think everywhere in Dronfield is really nice and safe. I guess its what your looking for and what budget you have. I have friends and family in the Snape Hill area as well as Cecil and they have no problems living there, it's really friendly and safe. The Dronfield Woodhouse side, although nice, feels too crowded for me. The houses are quite tightly packed in with small gardens, but again comes down to personal preference. I think Coal Aston is a bit too far away from the centre.

I am thinking about taking up Squash. I played a few times at Colledge. Please get in touch if you fancy a game. I can play killamarsh or Dronfield or Goodwin.

I have a tortoise who is aprox 40 years old and in need of a new home. He is fit and well and needs a new home as I my kids have lost interest in him. He is fine with my dog and cat and is fully grown. I have a madcatz headset and my mate has the offical Sony headset. We can both chat on the dashboard. W have only tried to play FIFA 10 so far so I may try another title tonight. We normally play our Xboxes over live and I just thought that the Playstation had the same kind of chat options. Thanks for the help

Pleasde help. I have just got a PS3 and I am Struggling to chat with my friends. I know we can chat from the dash board but when we are in a game we struggle to chat. I have paired by head set to the PS3. We have tried to play FIFA 10 and we we set up a friends game we are struggling to connect. Please help
