  1. Are their any trans/crossdresser friendly hairdressers around the Sheffield area? preferably a home salon or somewhere very quiet to get shoulder length hair made more feminine.
  2. woohoo, it gets better. Thankyou ---------- Post added 07-02-2013 at 14:47 ---------- which company would you recommend for Public Liability insurance and how much roughly (I guess there can be big differences) does it cost for a general maintenance gardener?
  3. great info, Thanks Andy. Nice about the waste carriers licence I thought the £154 fee was yearly, I must have misread the bit where it says 3 years
  4. Ok so maybe I can invest in some more equipment while I am still in full time work and start smallish on the gardening side of things then slowly build up until I can leave my current job. I have plenty off newish tools and a nice van to get me started and can look professional from the start, then just carry on from there. its just all the bits like figuring out tax payments, insurance etc that hold me back for now. I wonder if these are things I could pick up as I go? Sheffscape, sorry for barging in on your thread
  5. and how much is his hourly rate? How much would you expect to be paying if he used his own tools and took your waste away? ---------- Post added 06-02-2013 at 11:30 ---------- Sorry for the questions, but I am also thinking of getting into the business sometime soon so I am doing the research now
  6. How much is your hourly rate then, to anyone in the business?
  7. Ok fair enough, bad example from me. But what's a gardeners hourly rate then, how do you work this rate out to cover fuel costs/training/insurance/tools & tool repairs? And make a profit?
  8. So what sort of prices do gardeners charge then? How do they work out hourly rates? Some jobs could take an hour to drive to, then an hours work then an hour to drive back home. How would you cover travelling expenses?
  9. you can set up a page from your FB account and use it for everyone without having to be friends with them. Put a link on your van/flyers to your facebook page then prospective customers could look at pictures on there. It can just be like a mini website (with photo's) for your gardening business, anything is worth a try.
  10. if you have not got a website yet you should make a facebook page with before and after photo's of your work on it. You could also use this as an additional way for people to contact you regarding jobs.
  11. out of interest what do you guys charge hourly for these jobs, how do do figure out your prices? I would love to be brave enough to try the self employed route. I have a van and all of the tools needed, but will probably just stick to my current job forever. Lol
  12. I spent some time up here yesterday with my son, we had great fun the place is awesome
  13. its a great idea, I am sure they would fill up pretty quickly over here though. looks a bit like something out of Mad Max films
  14. probably trying to nick important documents so he can commit identity fraud !!
