  1. Im suprised you are suprised, there are tanning shops everywhere. One of my friends has excema and a weekly sunbed visit helps it massively. Suppose its like being suprised people still smoke...
  2. I have been to the one opposite the high rise before but it was closed when I drove past today, do you know the name of it, its a funny name isnt it, could do withringing & seeing if they have any later nights that they open. Never thought to try Walkley as that would be better than goingright into Hillsborough if they have some late nights, I will try and google that & see what it's called. Thanks for your help!!
  3. Hi, I live in Stannington and want to find a sunbed shop thats not too far that has any block booking offers on, does anyone know anywhere as I haven't been on for ages and not sure now where is best to go! Thanks, Nat
  4. Hi, I have booked for Harvey to be castrated & he will be 7 months old. I know all the right reasons to have him done but my husband met a lady out walking Harvey the other night & she said it is too young & will make him aggressive?! An old post on here also said it locks them into their mental state at the time so if 7 months, he will grow massive but always have the mental age of a 7 month old puppy!!! I want him to be done so he doesnt run off or get bit for pestering a bitch in heat & also with Harvey being a Bullmastiff & pretty huge, I dont want him to scare other owners with a bitch if he goes tearing towards them. He is soft as a brush but might not look it!! Any help would be massively appreciated!! Im always paranoid with making the wrong decision when it concerns my little man!!! Nat xxxx
  5. We have just booked him in to have his bits off so hopefully then he may be a bit less headstrong sometimes!! I was scared of him smelling a bitch in season & doing one!! xxx
  6. I meant to say, were working on heel when on the lead & recall when off it! When he is on the lead & 90% when he is off he is great! xxx
  7. Hi everyone, Harvey is 6 months old now & more fab than ever but is it normal that dogs go through like a stubborn 'teenage stage'? He sometimes will push his luck with things he knows already, like simply sit, he sometimes wont & looks at me as if to say 'whats it worth to me?!' Just being consistent works but I just wondered if others find this?! Also, with walking, we are really working hard on the heel & he is realy good at coming back until he see's another dog, that normally results in us literally pulling him away as he is dog mad!! Again, is this normal & will it just get better with time or is there something specific we can do? He is used to other dogs & often walks with friends & their dogs so it isnt as if he never gets to play! Im scared one day he will run towards one who doesnt wanna play one day & get a good telling off!! Thanks in advance, I always get good advise on here!! xxx
  8. Oh I so hope it works for you, let us know!! xx
  9. Hi, i have got a 6 month old Bullmastiff pup & went with my friend to the shop behind Towsure & ended up trying Harvey on the raw diet, he never really seemed impressed wth dry food. He absolutely loves his food now & seems to have come on in leaps & bounds since we changed him. All my friends dogs are on it & some with labs who had skin issueshave noticed a real improvement. We get the boxes of mixed meats & feed him 1.5 meats per day with 1 little cube of their pureed veg & a chicken wing (am going to try the turkey necks next :/). The only other thing we add is the occasional egg & sometimes a banana in natural yoghurt which he absolutely loves. We highly recommend this diet & wouldnt change back now. Good luck, it must be worth a try, il keep my fingers crossed for you! xxxxxxxxxxx
  10. Hi, sorry if you have already answered this but does it matter if my pup is registered at another vets? Could we still come & have him castrated for this offer price? We were not sure if we could afford to have it done this side of christmas but he's just turned 6 months & at this price, we could have him done straight away! xx
  11. Hi, I have seen some old threads similar to this but didnt get any info. I really want a thrrough valet done on my car. We got a puppy a few months ago & my nice clean car has gone to pot in the few days since he got big enough to jump into the back from the boot & before the guard came!! I need some sort of deep interior wash on the seats as they are dirty & have water marks where I have spot cleaned. I would rather go somewhere that has been recommended due to alot of friends being dissapointed with valeters they have used & I would rather pay abit more to get a really proffessional job done. Thanks in advance! Nat
  12. I am thinking of moving my baby Bulmastiff onto raw food from the Wagg dry puppy food he currently has (mixed with abit of canned meat to coat the dry or he wont entertain it!! ), a few of my friends have done this & noticed massive improvements in their dogs with skin, coat, eyes etc also they poo less as they are obviously taking in the majority of the food. Ive heard so many good & bad things & was just wondering what more people thaught either way??? Nat x
  13. Hiya, I have registered my puppy with Hallam Vets at Hillsborough simply because I wanted to be with a vet that is in walking distance should I ever be without my car, also, thaught a walk down there might tire Harvey out so he isnt as worried if he gets to where he hates going!! They have been lovely with him & as im neurotic, I have been down to have different things checked & for advise & they havent charged me unless he's needed anything to be done, im using wormers from them & they just said to keep nipping him in whenever he needs doing & they can weigh him & make sure im giving him the right amount & the weighing & advise is all free. I got frontline off an Ebay shop & got enough for 16 weeks protection for the price of 4 in Morrisons! Fishers pet shop in Hillsborough is good for treat type things like bones, they do the hard ones with stuff in the middle to keep little minds occupied longer & meaty ones & stuff - dont get the pigs ears tho unless you have a stong stomach, Harvey loved his but it smelled vile & ended up having to be binned!! xxx
  14. Hey Beaglep, if you dont mind, could you tell me how you got Katie to bring things to you to give & take things from you? Harvey, my Bullmastiff who's 10 weeks learned sit by me giving him treats, i showed him that I had say some cheese or ham in my hand & just held my hand high & kept saying sit, I think the first few times, I pushed his bum down but maybe if you just wait til she gets bored & sits then give her the treat, she may learn it eventually?? Its so hard isnt it, Harvey will be so good at some things like toilet training & sit & things like that but then I cant get him to stop growling like a mardy bum if I have to pick him up when he wont come in & he will ignore me shouting his name if he doesnt feel like coming!! Thats what im working on at the moment! Good luck!!! xxx
  15. Hiya again, Roxiflydog has just posted asking for new members for their flyball team & are looking for dogs who love to fetch & return balls & who are basically ball mad - ive posted on for them to see your advert for help with Jimmy as he sounds like he would love that!! xxx
