  1. I dont rent films anymore but i do buy games. the last time i went into blockbuster was to buy a game that was around 2-3 months old (so not old at all in my opinion) and they didnt have a new one in stock just a pre-owned that cost £45 i think. I just went home and ordered it off of the internet for £30 brand new. thats why companies like this and hmv are all going to go down the toilet, they just either cant compete or are unwilling to lower there prices in order to compete with the online market.
  2. sparkler bans are not a new thing, been going on for years. unfortunately the bans are a symptom of the blame culture we have at the moment, companies are just so scared of being taken for thousands for something that isnt there fault.
  3. Went a week ago on a Friday night. The setting was very nice with good decoration and a live musician playing. The food was probably the best Chinese food me and my family has ever eaten. And despite us ordering far too much we finished the whole lot. The only minor downside was the inexperienced staff who were slightly slow and a little clumsy at times. It was pricy but no more so than other restaurants of the same quality and location would be. Well worth it and will visit again sometime.
  4. yeh you deffo need premium for using on a tablet. And its not as good as when using on a laptop in my experience its not a very user friendly app imo.
  5. If you can get rid of this i would love to hear how as ive had it for absolutley ages with no success at deleting it, its an absolute bugger. seems to evade everything i try and dissappear for a week or so and then re-appear again.
  6. TBH i would sell it as seen, but mention that the mileage has been messed with and the last known figure was 135K or whatever. you should get more than £400 i would have thought. In mire modern cars 135K isnt that great a deal anymore, especially in a diesel (if it is a diesel).
  7. The grass cutting situation in sheffield is getting worse and worse and has been for years. I live in the countryside and they now only cut the verges once a year. Does that really matter i hear you cry. yes i say as its very dangerous on the roads in summer as the roads have been narrowed by about 2ft because of the overgrown grass. Its just another sign of how badly this city has been run by the various councils over the years.
  8. My quad was stolen a few years back and the police found the number plates up round that area, but sadly no quad. If theyre not used to joyride on they are unfortunately moved very quickly from the area and never seen again.
  9. My family just binned a load of books as the charity shops wouldn't take them, shame really as its a waste to throw away good literature.
  10. The only people who collect scrap for free are the type of people you dont really want to be inviting round. And they often dont take fridges as there is hardly any metal in them and its not worth it.
  11. Very rarely. Although if rare bread they can fetch quite a lot of money. Otherwise not always worth the hastle, they turn up eventually.
  12. its just a standard bolt for a piece of agricultural machinary. The threads on the other one have stretched so cant get the nut back on.
  13. It's stuff like this that make it so hard to have any motivation to vote. I'm not ashamed to say i voted Conservative in the General election and Lib-dem in the local election, and so you could say i got the government i wanted. However as we have all seen they have been quite poor in certain aspects of running the country. And yet we have a local labour council who in the past few months i have really started to hate with a passion what with story's like this and shutting down of certain city facilities. All i can say is, no wonder voter turnout is so low.
  14. Hi guys, i'm in need of a new nut and bolt, ideally today. Checked out a few places but they either need a minimum order or dont have the part. The bolt is M16, 60mm long, so thats a 24mm hex head for use with a socket. Any help and pointers in the right direction would be welcome
  15. St Thomas Rd on Crookes is literally down to the cobbles and has been for years, probbably a better surface than most as there are no big potholes. Crookes Rd itself is appalling, you spend more time looking directly on the road to avoid the potholes than you do focusing on the rest of the road and for pedestrians. Redmires Rd is terrible, there are some huge potholes on there, that if your not carful or going slightley too fast they will brake your car. I have measured some holes at around 20-30cm deep, and in places the road is simply crumbling away.
  16. All i can say is where ever you go buy a decent brand, Varta, Bosch etc. As if you were to say go to halfords and get one for £50 then you will regret it in a year or two's time when your out buying another.
  17. The Island, Typical michael bay film, scarlotte johansson in tight clothes, a solid 7/10 from me.
  18. unless you do a quick search on google, and all is fine
  19. they recently changed all the contractors in Sheffield from a few single farmers to one company i believe, and they have only been doing the main important routes this year (so far anyway). So in all likelyhood the farmer has done it out of there own good will.
  20. Well deffinately didnt get any letters from them about deposit schemes cant find one and my housemates say we never got one so gonna try that route on monday.
  21. Watched Lucky number slevin the other day (again) 9/10 from me, love that film Had a MIB marathon yesterday 1 - 8/10 2 - 7/10 3 - 7/10. The first is easily the best, with the other two still offering great value.
  22. Im having a bad time with music of late, it seems most of the bands i like are either splitting up or going in a musical direction that I don't like. Only Biffy are keeping up the good work.
  23. Im pretty sure its possible on proper diagnostic equipment, but im unsure if it can be done via laptop diagnostic software.
  24. I do read them first and determine the importance, i dont just throw them straight in unopened. I cannot ever remember reading something like this. And its a bit harsh to be lecturing someone about knowing there legal rights when its the first house theyve ever rented, so i would say get of your pedestal and leave this thread if your going to be of no help.
  25. \\http://www.entwistlegreen.co.uk/rent/letting-agents/ it states there deposits held in client account, im guessing thats a deposit scheme? also it states on that page that all properties comply with safety legislation, and being as i mention first off that there was no flue for the gas fire theyve broken that promise allready. I cannot for the life of me remember getting a letter from them about the deposit, but i may have just thrown it in a pile. all that is at my parents house which i cant get to till next week.
