  1. You know what, I was really REALLY proud of my son's behaviour in the shop. I really was, as most people will understand, autistic children can struggle when waiting and find it incredibly difficult. If there had been a really long noisy queue its likely my son would of exhibited his frustrating side which would/could include, spitting, biting, hitting, kicking, screaming, shouting, swearing or just running off (I mean going outside and really running off). None of which hes ever done in that shop before, and Ive not even been in this one for a year or so. I was also impressed he put the string back. I can only assume that by saying he was out of control, he was referring to the fact that my son was finding it incredibly difficult to stand next to me (after dragging him back), he also doesn't like being touched so holding his hand was beginning to stress him. Thank god I didnt have to wait any longer and pay my postage there! I am going to take this further, his behaviour was unacceptable and if I wasnt made of strong stuff, could well of been taken to heart!
  2. ok, so how do I go about complaining? Who do I complain too? Would you send the bloke some info on autism and tolerance? Im fairly sure this post office is not effected by any of the closures. I use paypal postage as my nearest post office is quite a trek away and costs £1.60 on the bus one way, (the one near me closed years ago...well before paypal even did post) so I post most of my parcels into a normal red post box (no proof of postage but they always seem to get to their destination), so yes, it saves me money. one of the three parcels I posted was always going to be too big for the red box so took a planned trip to the post office. Anyway I heard that when they weigh it and put their own label on, they do get paid? I also heard they get paid anyway as they do when we buy a book of stamps from a local shop. I was also told that paypal print proof receipts are not valid at the post office because they say Royal Mail and not post office on them? Personally it varies from post office to post office. In town they dont even weigh them, they just put them straight in the mail bag for you.
  3. I thought I wasnt supposed to put personal details in like that or the thread would be removed. I know he is the only male who works in there so you would know who he is.
  4. I went to a post office yesterday with 3 parcels. The man serving me was not happy that Id pre paid the postage with paypal "because they dont get paid for doing this". I asked to have the parcels signed for, he said no because I should have done it with paypal. Ok I said, then can I just have proof of postage. He argued that the first parcel wasnt the correct weight, I quickly pointed out it was. He then wanted me to pop it in the drawer, I said no, because Id have had to screw it up to do that. He was clearly very grumpy. Then my son, who is autistic and just 4 years old, came up to me with 2 balls of string off the shelf, the man told him to go and put them back and not to play with them. My son, being autistic ignored the man because he didnt understand he was talking to him. So I used simple spoken language my son could understand and hand signed.. (stop..go back, in box).. which my son did straight away. Then on the last parcel, the man shouted at my son not to play with the cards... which my son was looking at and pointing at the pictures (no grubby hands, he was smartly dressed, even had his autism badge, The man continued to shout at my son and totally stopped dealing with my parcel, so I had to drag my son back to the counter and said very loudly... stand with me because the grumpy man is being very rude. The man then shouted at me that I was an unfit mum, I said my son is autistic he doesnt understand, but he continued to shout at me that he didnt care if he was autistic, he is out of control and Im a bad parent n need to deal with him. I am so bloody annoyed I really want to complain I am really angry. How dare he judge me and my son.:rant::rant:
  5. It did seem really easy and the connection test seemed to go ok, but when it tried to connect to the user agreement page it said ERROR 220602 Which might be something to do with my PC security settings ??? I tried different things on and off through the day but had no luck. Any ideas? Im gonna have another go at it this evening and over the weekend if it still doesnt work!

  7. Ive got a Sony walkman phone, not sure which one, but all I had to do on mine was install the software (called Disk2Phone), add the CD, then highlight all the tracks and click the Transfer box... making sure your phone is plugged in to your pc. It took a few mins to do a full CD. Is that the same software you have?
  8. Is it easy to do? Do I just put a wireless USB adapter in the back? Do i need a seperate hub? ive got a wireless Belkin in my PC & Hub..will that do it ? What about software, how does it read it ??? Sorry I just cant get my head around it Thanks in advance
  9. This is my back yard...well almost, and I think it would be a great for the area, (but doubt its as noisy as the traffic on Abbeydale rd)...though I think Tesco should clean up the river Sheaf that runs down the side of Tesco first, that walkway and river is a disgrace. (see for yourselves the amount of food, bags, rats, trolleys etc thats there)... ooooo it makes me very cross indeed..
