    There is a trophy to be won (Winners hold it for 1 year) and a case of beer - thanks to Bradfield Brewery for that.

  2. Wacky Vehicle

    Treasure Hunt

    18th June 2011

    Midhopestones, Sheffield

     

    At this years Country Fayre we are once again holding our Wacky Vehicle Treasure Hunt. Cars will set off from the village at intervals and enjoy a fantastic run along the edge of the Peak District lasting an hour or so looking for clues.

     

    After the run vehicles may park up on the show ground for free entry to the Country Fayre.

     

    If you don’t want to take part in the Treasure Hunt just come along and display your vehicle – free entry.

  3. i know theres a few threads on this, but could i ask does anyone know where you can find out where the local shows are, and a list say within 20 mile of sheffield, when i entered my car in the festival of transport last year about 3/4 flyers were put on my car from all sorts of local stuff , i think one was endcliffe hall/ and one in hope village/ you get the drift... the smaller type shows... who has the full list... any takers

  4. I went to Shiregreen nursery, infants, junior and senior but then went on to Hinde House after 2 years at seniors as it closed down. As I remember the senior school had the play ground and a slope went down to what was like a yellow field covered in a clay type surface and was called the enclosure. It had a high netting fence round like a tennis court. Beyond that was the quarry and to one side was a brick yard. I remember sitting in class and watching 2 men stand on top of the chimney about 100ft up and knocking the bricks off the top with a sledge hammer to demolish it.
