Hi there, I have tried everywhere but it seems that the one place to get hold of the recording of both the opening and closing ceremony is Sheffield Library where they kept a copy of the video tape that was sold at the time. You have to physically go there and borrow it, being in France, I did not get a chance yet to go to Sheffield but just in case you are closer, let us know

Hello, I was a volunteer at the world student games and I have been looking everywhere for the video tape. I Know it is available at Sheffield's library but as I now live in France I have no way to borrow it or make a copy. Hope this information is useful. Bonne chance Leahana
