Also, the man and the woman could both identify as bisexual but appear to be in a heterosexual relationship. (So this is also where Queer banner could apply)

Because a hell of a lot of people dont understand finances. I worked in mortgage services and most people are only one mortgage payment away from being handled by the collections team. When our interest rates went up by .05% a lot of people said they could not afford the payments and became very irate about the issue.

Well, it depends on where someone wants to move to. You could move to the manor and it would be cheaper or move to Dore and the like and it will be a hell of a lot more. It all depends on where a specific person wants to be. Estate Agents have offices all over this city to reflect the needs of the people who want to live in different parts. Those agents will be versed in a areas needs and wants and how to appeal to future buyers in those areas. Theres no snobbery.

Best places for young professionals to live
alternageek replied to narnaamarie's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
My grandparents couldnt afford to buy a home until they had been retired for ten years. They just didnt have the income until the mid-90s to do it. My grandad earned a good wage, working in HR for the GPO and then BT, but they would never have gotten a mortgage. Luckily when they bought, they were able to do so in cash and be mortgage free. So not everyone got a home they owned straight off the bat. ---------- Post added 29-05-2015 at 23:33 ---------- its up to an individual where *they* want to live.. no matter of labels you throw on a description will sway many people. most people go where their friends go. for a very long time, meersbrook wasnt an area marketed to "young professionals" but since the collapse in 2008, those are the people who came in since the property values held, where other super desirable so-called "professional" areas dropped in value. -

LGBTQIA is the better term and stands for = Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex and Asexual Queer is used as an all encompassing term for gender minorities There is also non-binary, or non-gendered, that also falls under the asexual banner

Best places for young professionals to live

Well, I didnt know that plumbers and electricians were only allowed to live in certain areas? To me a professional means anyone in employment and earning a living wage. -

Meersbrook is about £10-20K less in average house price than Crookes/Walkley as well. Even when the market dropped, the houses around here held their peak values (£120K or so) Also more homeowners are moving here to live, rather than to rent out, which is big plus to me. My friend just sold her place, and made it clear to the estate agent she didnt want developers to view or buy. -

^^ agree with most of the following, but people need to stop spreading the word about the city best kept secret!! (meersbrook) ^^ btw, think crookes/walkley is becoming more and more popular with professionals, as students arent moving into the area anymore. they prefer the student flats that are popping up all over the city. -

Which is the best optician in Sheffield?
alternageek replied to BEETHOVEN's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
You dont have to buy your frames and lenses at the same time as the appt. Loads of online retailers who will send you frames to try before you buy and then fill them with your Rx. My last eye exam, I went to specsavers and they gave me my RX with no pressure to buy there and then (I did buy, a pair of frames for £69 w/ anti glare coating) Also the person doing the eye exams is the optometrist and have had years of training. The people selling your frames have very limited training and there to move product.
