I think he's lost interest. That and he probably couldn't make pea soup in the Carlsberg canteen.

The last message from SheffieldHistory was that they were moving servers. Allowing time for DNS propagation and everything going well (though they have history of not doing over the years), they should be back on line soon.

Is that where Fred's car spares was? That was burned down by the local kids (allegedly) in the mid 90s. -
Where is this? Do you know the person

Definitely not, there is no road opposite the bottom of Bishops Court Road, Skelton Road is offset by some five houses to the left (of the veiwpoint of the photograph). It's not the junction of Argyle Road by Carfield School either. It does at first glance look very similar to that though.as the lower unadopted portion of Kent Road was unpaved and much steeper and there would be no house behind the one on the right. (I've lived in this very area for almost 50 years) -

It was there before the thread and my previous post disappeared -

As I said in my first post (which disappeared), the Vincent has a local registration so hopefully you should eventually trace the rider. The area MAY be Richmond? I'm going to look through my Dad's old photos, he was chairman of the Sheffield Golden Wheels Motorcycle club in the 60s. (and hopefully this post won't disappear). -
Driving through the manor - great sight!

I have a fine sense of humour. I've just finshed an 18 hour shift in a minimum pay job, am I not entitled to sit on my own sofa outside my own house drinking my beer that I have payed four out of what's left when I've been robbed by the taxman three times. :hihi::hihi: I'd guess that most of the people that post here are actually unemployed and jealous of the fact that someone can actually afford to buy beer. -

You should be watching the road, not staring at people minding their own business. What gives you the right to judge other people? You are not perfect, nobody is. I've lived in Sheffield for 50 years and never met anybody in real life that has the attitude of the people that post here. You should all go out and get yourself a hobby to take up your time between voting labour because daddy and granddaddy did. (I do not live on the Manor, though I have several times in those 50 years, I am not unemployed either before you sad wastrels start on me). You have no lives. You make me feel ashamed for being born bred and buttered in Sheffield. -
