  1. You forgot to add that there are around 1 million more people in the public sector and civil service than there were in 1997.
  2. But no one is talking about unemployment we are talking about employment. That was the boast from titanic that there were more people in work than under the Tories. WRONG.. Despite there being a record number of people in the population, and despite there being a recod number of people on short time and part time employment, the number of people in work is less than it was in 1997 AND IT IS FALLING.
  3. That isn't propoganda it is facts from the Office of National Statistics being quoted by a National Newspaper. But if you would like to post a link to show that there are more people in work than when the Tories handed over I will read it with interest. But backing up your false claims and statistics isn't your strong point is it?
  4. I had spotted the irony of the repeated lies being told by fivetide in his attempt to cover up Brown's lies. We get wriggle we get squirm we get accusations of lies, but the only people so far who his posts have proved to be lying are Gordon Brown and himself.
  5. You see there you go again. Typical Labour lies and spin. The famous titanic quoting bogus or just outdated statistics. Despite the influx of millions of economic migrants THERE ARE LESS PEOPLE IN WORK THAN UNDER THE TORIES. You really should keep up to date. The jobs have gone overseas. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/jobless-fall-masks-14year-low-for-uk-employment-1923097.html But while unemployment is down, so is employment. The rate of employment is at its lowest since 1996, at 72.2 per cent, or 28.9 million people. The discrepancy has arisen because an increasing number of people are simply leaving the workforce. The "economic inactivity" rate, which measures those who do not wish to work because they are bringing up a family, say, or are retired, has increased by 149,000 over the quarter and by 371,000 over the year to reach a record high of 8.2 million. This increase in inactivity was largely driven by the number of students who have left the labour market – no longer seeking part-time, seasonal or casual work – which has increased by 98,000 on the quarter to reach 2.3 million, the highest figure since comparable records began in 1993. As "student" is a self-declared description, it may also be that this label is being used as a euphemism for unemployment by some younger people, disguising a weaker labour market than the headline figures suggest. LABOUR ISN'T WORKING
  6. But despite all your bluster you still can't post a link to it. Add to the list Fivetide lies.
  7. Your apology is accepted and I am sure Dave will forgive you for your untrue libelous suggestions. So you now admit that your link was not as stated to proof of Cameron lying. Indeed the only party leader where we have many examples of lies told to the Commons, to the Iraq inquiry and to the public is Gordon Brown. Even Blair didn't stoop that low.
  8. That seems to be one of the statistics that titanic missed. Perhaps someone could remind us of Mandy's vast experience of working in industry.
  9. It seems that when he lied to Chilcott he couldn't even remember what he did as Chancellor.
  10. There is no THINK about it. They are supporting the Tory policy. It is interesting that captains of industry tend to be highly qualified and experienced in business and financial matters. A minister on the other hand merely needs to have had a big mouth and have business experience that is limited to serving drinks on a ferry. Did anyone else hear Bod Crow being interviewed by John Humphries on the BBC News this morning?
  11. No you don't. You get accused of posting biased stats, selected stats, incomplete stats, distorted stats and outdated stats. The media on the other hand tends to report all news, although some newspapers like the Mail & the Mirror might well put a spin on it.
  12. It is probably because voters would rather believe anyone other than you.
  13. It does make me smile, this being Sheffield Forum and all that. The loony left are tory bashing whilst the loony right are labour bashing. It seems to have escaped them that the election in Sheffield is between the L/Ds and Labour, particularly in the coming council elections. The Tories aren't even in contention...But, hey ho, thinking isn't a strong point with the loonies.
  14. You seem to have a very tenuous grasp of the English language. I see no mention in that article of the name David Cameron as claimed by yourself.
  15. A blog is a blog. No point trying to argue otherwise. So all your twisty turny squirming doesn't get away from the fact that you cannot put up a credible post to support your case. That's about what we expect from supporters of this government of liars. They need liars like you to try to divert the blame despite having been in office and making the rules for 13 years.
  16. I call it a blog because it is a blog. If you chose to call it a duck that is up to you but the truth is that i is a blog. Regarding you link. I would point out that the Bank of England does not have and never did have powers to regulate financial operations in Singapore, which is presumably why the BoE was never required to offer financial guarantees on the deals that Leeson made. I would point out that the Tories were in power for 18 years before Blair/brown took over and never once suggested independence for the BoE or handing its powers to regulate the financial sector to a QUANGO. So if you want to make up lies try to make them slightly credible.
  17. That doesn't point to a party policy despite your link being to nothing more than someone's blog. It was Brown as Chancellor that made the Bank of England independant. That wasn't Conservative policy either. Brown then established the FSA to take over the BoE's role of regulator of the financial institutions. Not Conservative policy and something the FSA totally failed to regulate hence Equitable Life, Northern Rock, etc etc.
  18. No you are fine. You don't need an account to buy, just an email address. The buyer goes on line using the link and pays using a credit card. Job done. .
  19. So what happened to that flagship low cost eco housing development on Norton Aerodrome? Oh I remember it died about 10 minutes after the headlines.
  20. Oddly enough I don't recall any of this fantasy of yours. But not doubt you will be able to post a link to it. I won't hold my breath.
  21. Perhaps you need to change your supplier. I wouldn't buy any meat if I didn't know where it came from. Several supermarkets have stated that they will only sell British meat. Even Lidll has joined in on that one.. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/151898/Supermarket-Lidl-says-it-will-only-sell-British-meat-from-tomorrow.html. Lidl's Brit meat vow 01/02/2009 GERMAN supermarket Lidl says it will only sell British meat from tomorrow after a Jamie Oliver TV crusade. The chef's Save Our Bacon show last week revealed European farmers use cruel battery sow stalls, banned in Britain. A Lidl spokesman said: "This is a reaction to customers. Where possible we'll source UK produce." M&S launches a British Classics range this week.
  22. I regularly fly from Gatwick and Heathrow. I find the easiest way of getting there is by National Express coach from Pond Street or more usually Chesterfield bus station. It isn't exactly quick but it does get you right into the airports and it is cheap. Main problem is most of the coaches stop at every airport en-route and Gatwick is usually the end of the line. But...when you get off the coach you can chuck your bags straight into a baggage trolley.
  23. I wouldn't worry the papers and news agencies around the world have got it covered and are broadcasting what everyone has known for years. Brown is a liar.
