  1. Hi Duffems, I was at Newfield School with David and Roy Goodison. I can't however remember just where they lived.
  2. Good evening johnpm, I too attended Hollowford in 1966 as did my wife in 1965. Keith Pound I am still in contact with. My wife and I went on to be group leaders in 1970 One particular day that week could have had tragic consequences. We had a trip down a pothole at Eyam. One very overweight lad hadn't the strength to get out of the entrance to the pothole. A lot of heaving and pushing by group members saved the day His name was Dave Cotton, wonder if he is a Forum member.
  3. A Newfield school trip to Malham in the Dales around 1961 with a teacher who for me was an inspiration, Howard Smith, a more than genuine bloke !

  5. Hi Longcol, your comments noted. I have stopped looking at the Sheffield Football section, there are some seriously disturbed individuals on there !!
  6. I remember in the last days of steam, probably early 1968, it was a cold day, taking my nephew onto Heeley station and being invited into the signal box. LMS Jubilee ' Galatea ' came past, why do I remember that !

  8. Have we a model shop in Sheffield or close to the city I am interested in constructing a model of a dummy landing craft There's a lot of stuff online. My father was involved in the construction of these vessels during the build up to D Day

  14. That's an example of many of the completely sad posts on this section. I really shouldn't have replied, in doing so I have let myself down. I will have a nice Christmas and thanks for your comment, hope yours is good also. I could suggest a New Year resolution for you but won't. Perhaps there is somebody on this section that will.
  15. Apologies Sheridan, should have said Sheffield Wednesday supporters and that's from a bloke of 77 years of age ! Could I say I do hope that some of the very unfortunate, childish and irresponsible folks on here have a good Christmas and lots of luck in the New Year. Please don't have the attitude to your family members that you have to folks on here , that's of course if you are capable !

  20. Looked at that, very interesting. If you produced it, you are a talented individual. Some folks cling to the past, I am all for what the situation is today !
  21. It would help if we could have some indication from whoever moderates this section as to what and what isn't allowed. There some serious undertones of behaviour from certain individuals. The depth to which this section has sunk to over the past year is regrettable !
