  1. I totally feel you man! Inflicting inane whistling, singing, humming or theatrical yawning on a non-consensual audience is aural assault, plain and simple. In the work place it should warrant disciplinary procedures against repeat offenders. We are all entitled to work in peace!
  2. Looks like the Tramlines organisers have taken heed of your warning and moved the Main Stage out of the City Centre, to Upperthorpe in fact where criminal behaviour is more commonplace...phew. http://www.exposedmagazine.co.uk/homepage-calendar/2015/02/26/Tramlines_Main_Stage_To_Move_To_Ponderosa_Park/ Edit: Ah I see you have all heard the good news!
  3. I join OhMyWord in his concerns, mostly as we've already filled our 'has been' rap act quota with the less anti-social Sugar Hill Gang. Wu Tang are an unnecessary risk!
  4. Have you thought about employing a co-worker as a look out? Find out where this dude sits and get someone nearby to keep you updated on his ablutions, maybe you can adapt your routine to avoid contact with this unsavoury individual?
  5. I think it is splendid, The Moor has looked like a war zone for years now its about time they fixed it up. Plus the old Castle Market was looking very shabby indeed!
  6. I'd recommed these guys too, I had them give my car an MOT twice and they were very reasonable. They actually passed my car once when they could have easily got away with forcing some sort of unnecessary work on me.
  7. Its not the price of alcohol that needs to change its the attitude of the english towards drink. It's clutural, English people drink to get drunk, and that's the case wether you are on the dole or pulling in £50+ grand a year. A mininum price on alcohol will do nothing to discorage binge drinking, unfortunatly drinking at the weekend so so ingrained into our national psyche that we'll do it regarless of the cost therfore those at the poorer end of the scale will suffer whether they drink responsibly or not. Unfortunately attitudes are more difficult/expensive to change than prices, so the gorvernment are going for the easy, revenue earning, ineffective option. No change there then.
  8. Wooot! Still no barriers, excellent news. Has anyone ever asked them why they dont put barriers at the tops of the stairs down to the platforms instead of on the entrance/exits to the bridge? And what will they do about access to platform 1 from the Sheffield Tap?
  9. Its a chain of Deli's, they make a big point of the fact you can have your sandwich anyway you like, the end product is customisable. Sure they put the sandwiches together on an assembely line, its the most efficient way to do it, but I dont see how that effects the quality of the product. I'd hardly call that "fast food of the worst kind".
  10. And of course that's a good thing I dont think anyone here is getting overly upset or needs to calm down, we are all as aware of the minimal impact of this one tree being cut down as we are the idiocy/selfishness of what you propose to do. I for one find it funny and a little bit sad that people are this narrow minded and stupid.
  11. Yes. trees are well know for maliciously lashing out at our children, I'm suprise they havent all been uprooted on these grounds! We all know more kids are killed by trees than by...I dunno...say...cars? Damn right more cars less trees is the way to go! Idiots.
  12. Two car family eh? Shouldn't you be trying to offset your damage to the enviromment not increase it? Let me guess you dont care.
  13. I hope they tell you to sling your hook. Honestly, having a tree removed becuase it makes yout car mucky is disgraceful! Nevermind, it's value to the environment, the local wildlife and the general aesthetics of the street, it's inconvenient to wash my car or park it across the street therefore it must go! If it ever is chopped down I hope it falls on you car and flattens it.
  14. I love Subway, nothing like McDonalds, but the service does vary from branch to branch, Orchard square is pretty good IMO. The worst in Sheffield being Hillsborough, the service there is sloppy and slow.
