  1. I am a parent who will be affected by the closure of Woodthorpe. We live locally and use the childcare facilities to enable us to work. Where are these 60 children going to go at such short notice? ..... How many parents will have to give up work, so we can look after these children who have nowhere to go locally?
  2. They were parked by the petrol station opposite the pub when we went through about 11.45am.
  3. £14 a litre in Asda Check out mysupermarket.com
  4. The post code you've given is Norfolk Park. It was a very run down area with lots of high rise blocks of flats that the council have pulled down in a bid to regenerate the area. The houses are a mix of council houses and part owned/part rented housing and owner occupied now. It certainly isnt as bad as it once was.
  5. There is the Emergency Services Day at the Niagra Ground on Sunday, and best of all it's free
  6. I would like to see it turn at the top, never mind going up there at 2 miles an hour!
  7. Refer them back to the insurance company you used. I think they may be trying it on!
  8. We went the other week and they had a deal going on for the 1 year anniversary. As usual the food was amazing, I am just shocked that a place with such good food is often empty or few clients. Speaking to Azaad himself it seems their take away and delivery service is busy. More people ought to try it and taste for themselves the delicious food on offer. The prices are reasonable and you take along your own drinks and he doesnt charge corkage but provides all glasses and ice and bottles of cooled tap water are free. He always makes a fuss of our toddler and does her an amazing ice cream after our meal. He even bought my Mum flowers for her birthday when we celebrated there.
  9. Thank you all for your input. A few things have been put into place but I suppose that we have come to the decision that we will probably sell up and move. I dont want to live next door to this and am lucky enough to be able to do something about it by moving away. It wont be for some time yet as things need to be done beforehand but I was so stressed on Sunday we went to look at a property out of city ! They think because they lived here before us that we should just put up with it.
  10. I think you would think differently if you had something that affected your life for over 4 years like it has ours and our child and visitors to our home. I hate coming home because I cant enjoy going out in the garden with my toddler.
  11. Absolutely not. The smell makes me feel physically sick. When I was pregnant and had morning sickness as well made it much worse. If it does not affect you in this way then I would consider you lucky. .
  12. when they got busted, he came round to appologise that it had affected us so much. (to cut a long story short, they had an attempted burglary, police came into my home and could smell the weed growing next door, so waited for them and busted them) within 2 weeks we could smell it in our home again so hubby went round and told them. I had had enough at this point and wrote them a letter telling them EVERYTHING. Now they just ignore me and smoke it in their garden all day. Then drive with the kids in the car !!!!
  13. I am so fed up I could scream. My neighbour smokes cannabis all day long with no regard for how it affects others. The smell of it makes me feel physically sick. They used to grow it and it made my whole house smell. They have since been caught and now carry on smoking the stuff all day long. I have told them how it affects us but they have no regard for that. Recently I had friends around and between us there were 6 children (+4 adults) playing in my garden. There was no thought and she bagan smoking in her garden where the breeze blew straight into all our faces. We had to bring all the children indoors to stop them being subjected to breathing in the foul smoke. Again this morning, we were out in the garden, hubby doing a spot of D.I.Y and our toddler playing and as I began hanging out the washing our daily ration of second hand ganja smoke billowed over the fence. I was coughing and wretching but it doesnt make any difference. I have no idea what to do next. It is really annoying my family. .
  14. I am not a proffessional cake maker but make them for friends and enjoy it. I made a doll cake recently for a friends daughter. PM me youe e-mail and I will send you photo's of what I have done. Jen
