Sheffield Ski Village On Fire Again Thread

Have been to it some ten years ago with the kids. Lovely place to have fun with families. Is the owner in the progress of re-developing it? -
Manchester to Sheffield road tunnel plans
ken_lym replied to Goooooogle's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
£75 million just to develop some reports?! How much would the 18-mile tunnel cost then? -
Anyone supplying the HP 301 ink cartridges or compatible ones in Sheffield? I use at least 2 a month, and look to buy 10 each time.

I don't think the postMAN would mind, but what about postWOMAN?

I've been using this printer HP 2540 for a long while, and recently found it very weird. I was trying to print a 20-page document. It printed the first 12 pages, then stopped, as the black ink was running low. I replaced the ink cartridge, and it printed the test page, then re-started the whole job again from the beginning and printed all the first 12 pages which have already been done. I bought the 301 ink cartridge from a local Morrisons store, and it costed £13 (for about 190 pages as said on the package). That works out to be nearly 7p per page! A test page plus the 12 pages afterwards would have wasted me 91p in total.

:-) I was thinking the question was about using a home address or po box for your business. Much depending on the nature of your small business though, using a home address is absolutely fine for a start-up.

Don't worry SupremeCC. It's fairly easy to manage the campaigns by yourself, once everything is up and running.

I've been using the parental control of Norton Internet Security for many years. It generates a weekly report for me on any attempted access to these restricted websites. Not sure about the router, although I'm also using a TP-Link one.

I completely agree. Parents would show a greater commitment when they paid the expensive tuition fee.

I voted yes, then noticed that the majority voted no.

Studio C stationery sales representative in Sheffield?
ken_lym replied to ken_lym's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
Many thanks for your comment. I was just wondering whether this was just kind of fraud. I ignored her last moaning email completely, as it sounds very emotional and unprofessional if she was indeed a regional sale representative of Carolina Pad, and I blocked her phone in my contact list just in case. I posted this in a business forum which I normally use for business-related matters, but many thanks 'Love2Print', you are indeed the first person who seriously looked into it for me. Very much appreciated! -
I was recently approached by a lady (don't want to mention her name here) acting as a sales representative for Studio C branded stationery. Both of the conversation over the phone and the meeting in a local cafe went well until I rejected her offer today. After a few emails and phone calls, I texted her this afternoon and said politely "Sorry, but it is a no from us. Good Luck." This lady then turned to be desperate, phoning me while I was in another meeting, then sent me a long moaning email before I even had chance to phone her back. Anyone had a similar experience before?

Anywhere to park around the Royal Hallamshire Hospital?
ken_lym replied to ken_lym's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Many thanks. There is actually a bus stop for 120 near my house, which goes directly to RHH, and I will definitely take the public transport next time for a hassle-free visit. ---------- Post added 21-02-2016 at 08:45 ---------- Completely agree. My question is why NHS not divert some simple services like blood test to local medical centres. I was there merely for a blood test, which took about 10 minute including the waiting time, but one hour on the return journey plus another half an hour looking for a car park. -
I've spent some half an hour this morning driving around the hospital for a parking bay, as the multi-storey one was full. I've been driving up and down the Collegiate Crescent, and was only lucky enough to find one on Park Lane on my 4th round. I bet Q Park or NCP could make a fortune by building one just next to the hospital.

Many thanks for the new route, and I will certainly try it this week. ---------- Post added 17-02-2016 at 20:24 ---------- M62 is just as bad. Endless roadwork and lots of accidents. ---------- Post added 17-02-2016 at 20:36 ---------- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-30286736 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longdendale_Bypass Here are the links to the news, back in December 2014 though. I was so much excited about this news in Xmas 2014, as need to travel to Manchester quite often. I was actively looking for any update on the bypass in 2015, but sadly nothing was heard for the whole year.
-
I heard the news that a bypass in Mottram-in-Longdendale was approved by the Highway Agency. But when would it be done then? I'm travelling to Manchester twice a week, and that half a mile in Mottram can take half an hour to drive through.
-
I failed to see the point for the so-called smart motorway, and the roadwork on M1 seems to be endless.

There are many free ones, like WordPress.

just in the middle of finishing my work, and the web server hosted by 123-reg went down. Switched to them just over a year, and this is the first time having a major down time. A good reason to go out and enjoy a bit sunshine this afternoon.
