  1. Contact me if no one has offered to help you already. Barry
  2. Can I just ask the op what the budget is. Then I can make a decision as to whether to pitch for the work or not.
  3. Can I ask, what genre of photography are you interested in. I can offer you some tuition in my studio, but I am not a commercial photographer. I shoot still life and fine art when the mood takes me, I also shoot landscapes and flowers. If you pm me your phone number I will contact you and we can see what comes of it, if anything. I live in Dronfield. Barry
  4. Does anyone on here own a recumbent trike in Sheffield. I have seen one or two knocking about and wondered if there was a club for them. Please get in touch if you would be interested in forming one. Barry
  5. I am interested in exhibiting. Please send ma some details.
  6. I would love to photograph your garden. I take this kind of image anyway, I like flower close ups and all that stuff.
  7. I fancy a go at this, I do not have any male nudes in my portfolio. I think this is a blind area for most male photographers and something we should redress. So, contact me if you think I can help.
  8. I like film because every shot costs money, so before I press the shutter I have to consider if the shot is worthy of my money being spent on it. The effect of this is to slow me down and make me think about every detail and wait for the right moment.
  9. Kev, Your images are typical travel/tourist shots. One or two are good sunsets, but the rest are well exposed holiday snaps. Some would have been better without the people in them, like the mountain shots.
  10. Sheep not wild, that one in the first image looks furious to me.
  11. When I was a fireman the advise given to us when we came across a situation was, always get help first, then render assistance. The reason being, once you commit to a situation you cannot summon help. I think the same maxim applies here. So, just to be clear, I would summon help and then wade in and help the person being attacked.
  12. I have five in my back garden that you can have. Just come and get them.
  13. Some one said that it is sometimes better to drive through the puddle than maybe cause and accident. If this is the case then surely you could at least slow down to minimise the damage.
  14. Surely you don't need to stop them breeding as they are infertile.
  15. Why not ask the other members if they have a preference.
  16. We actually went to japan some years ago, and I can tell you they eat fish while it is still alive. We went to a wedding and the first course was fish, still wriggling on the plate. We later went into a road side cafe and had fish cooked. The fish was taken from the tank alive and skewered with a stick, still alive, and placed over the flame, still alive. We all watched in horror as the poor thing struggled and its eyes turned white as the heat cooked them, whilst all the time still alive. Needless to say, no one ate the fish and we all ordered something else, already dead.
  17. How do you make a noise plastering a wall. Do you mix the plaster by hand or use a drill. I assume you have a day job. If you want to get on with your neighbours, then you are going to try to work around them. The times you say you work on the house are not unreasonable, just explain to your neighbour that she is the unreasonable one. Alternatively, start work at 5 in the morning, when you know her husband will be awake.
  18. While in Sainsburys I could have bought a 36 pack of Jaffa cakes for £3.50 or I could have bought three 24 packs for £1.00 each. I cannot be the only one to have noticed, surely.
  19. I have a mac G5 and I want to put it in my log cabin, but the insurance company say it will not be insured if I do. So now I am thinking of selling it and getting a laptop. It's a bugger when you cannot live your life the way you want because of other peoples dishonesty.
  20. I am a recent settler in Dronfield, and, yes it is quiet, but it is a good place to live. On the two occassions I have complianed to the council they have responded within one day to put things right. Also, our council tax has been frozen again this year. As for the schools, Lady Fanshaw is renown for its excellence, and Dronfield school is well thought of too. The doctors surgery I attend is well run and much bigger than my previous one. Most of them seem to be in purpose built buildings and not converted houses. The libraries are good and the council services are good. I would thoroughly recommend moving here.
  21. Sheffcruiser, I would like to have a go at this. Please ring me to make some arrangements.
  22. I would love to take images similar to the ones I see in landscape mags and books. I would use a Wista 5x4" camera with fuji 50 iso reversal film. Trouble is, I am rubbish at landscapes, as some people on here will attest. I would also like to go to Canada and shoot the lakes and mountains and the wilderness.
  23. Try the park and ride at Tesco's on Abbeydale Rd.,
  24. "I doubt I'd ask why before punching you". Are you some sort of moron. Only people without a brain resort to violence as a first resort. I hold you up as an example to all youngsters everywhere, get an education or you too will grow up a Neanderthal.
