  1. Arrrrraaggghhh I hear them too, it feels like some twisted torture exercise!
  2. I would highly recommend Graeme pringle. We have seen quite a few and Graeme really took the time to understand our individual circumstances before making suggestions. When we challenge some of his suggestions he gave full and thought out reasons for choosing the products and he is an incredibly nice man. He is independent and more interested in getting the right product for you than the commission he gets from getting you set up on a specific product. He helped us organise two mortgages that enabled us to move into our dream house a couple of weeks before giving birth, the man is fantastic.
  3. Hi there, I am looking to either play or train on a Tuesday or Thursday night. Anyone know of anywhere in Sheffield? Thanks Rachel
  4. I was very upset to find out they have stopped serving raspberry beer!!!!
  5. http://www.dangerous-stiltwalkers.co.uk/route.htm Just found out that our friend Pete has updated his website with his story so far if anyone is interested...
  6. Yeah lucky it's all down hill, although according to the article in the John O' Groats journal, downhill hairpin bends are tricky! I wish him the best of luck
  7. Just done a search and cannot seem to find a related topic so thought I would begin a thread about a fabulous Sheffield chap called Peter Thornett... Peter Thornett is a Performance Artist by trade, working in film, TV and stage. He is also an epileptic – like his father. Over the years Epilepsy Action has helped them both, and now Peter wants to return their help. Most people are unaware that epilepsy affects 1 in 131 people in the UK. His main aim is to raise awareness of the condition of Epilepsy and two related charities - Epilepsy Action http://www.epilepsy.org/ and F.A.B.L.E http://www.fable.org.uk/ Peter set off from John O’Groats on 19th May 2007 and intends to walk the whole distance on stilts, reaching Lands End on 27th August. Instead of taking the quick route, Peter will be zig-zagging across the country to include as many events as possible along the way, giving impromptu performances & dressed in costume – to generate interest and to educate people about epilepsy. He will be stiltwalking at least 1,200 miles – possibly 2,000! If you are interested to learn more about Peter’s incredible stilt walk from John O’Groats to Lands End, or wish to give him support of any kind, please visit his official Stilt Walking journey website http://www.dangerous-stiltwalkers.co.uk/charity.htm Here's a link from the John 'O Groats Journal http://www.johnogroat-journal.co.uk/news/fullstory.php/aid/2248/Marathon_man_Peter_has_a_spring_in_his_step.html

  9. interesting thread, lots of scope for sub catorgories .... I must say my vote has gone with a techno music preference but I second a nomination for fil bray and also nominate john tuxman both are noggins residents and if I was going for more breaksy stuff, I would probably add Si Mclean from futurefunk...
