  1. I've been reading this thread tonite.....its late and most everyone your side of the pond is sleeping. Its so nice to see people find each other this way. 20 years ago it might not have happened (I hate to say wouldn't have happened because I do believe two souls can find each other across time and distance). You just never know when you're going to stumble upon the right person for you.
  2. You know.....I'm doing my best to reduce my bills. I don't use my clothes dryer anymore, except for sheets and towels and I don't use my dishwasher at all. No lights on in the house during the day at all and I've switched all my bulbs except a handful to florescent. But I'm not seeing any reduction in my electric bill. I suppose the difference could be that I cook at home more now. Maybe my electric range/oven could be eating up the difference. I have a bucket in my shower that I collect wasted water in to flush my toilet. I keep my thermostat on 64F at night, at most 67F when the kids are here but don't have a new gas bill yet to compare. Any suggestions on reducing my utility bills?
  3. I have been to the UK several times and Sheffield once. You are probably right.....it would be impossible to drive a Camaro there. But you can dream. Hey....if you ever vacation in the states, maybe you could rent one. They are sweet!!!
  4. Good night, strangeart. We will discuss deep matters another night when alcohol is not involved. Sleep well.
  5. You gotta love the brutal honesty of these fellas on this thread. Boxing matches in their heads....its classic!! Maybe they aren't as fick as I thought....
  6. Here you go boys......how would this do ya? http://www.2011camaroz28.net/z28camaro2.jpg gotta admit....that is purrrrty.
  7. Psst....I just ran to the store for a 6 pack. I need extra just to keep up but its our little secret.
  8. Do keep up, JB....we figured out what this was all about ages ago. Men are fick....but we love you guys anyway.
  9. Russell Crowe....beastly....couldn't agree with you more! Can't stand the guy.
  10. I enjoyed them too and if I didn't have kids to raise, I would never have stopped. I loved smoking...I only quit because I had to, not because I wanted to.
  11. LA would be the weird capital of the world. But, hey....life would be mighty boring if we were all normal. I'm certainly thankful that I can't be accused of that....being normal.
  12. I feel so very blonde for not thinking of that myself. Thank you.
  13. Well, that made perfect sense to me. Amen sister!!!
  14. I've had this problem in reverse. My OH has wanted to purchase things for me....he is in the UK and I am in the US. He shops the US eBay site and they don't like to sell to him because they don't realize he wants it shipped to a US address. Did the buyer provide a shipping address yet?
  15. :hihi: My turn to spit red wine all over my clothes.
  16. Single parenthood should never be the preferred situation, but it happens. It happened to me. As you said, we must work. But how do you change the priorities? We have to work to pay for food, shelter, clothing, etc to take care of our kids. Unless the state is going to pay to take care of everyone, which they cannot afford to do forever as is evidenced by the benefits dependent culture in your neck of the woods, how else do we do it? I don't get those sort of benefits here. No mortgage assistance, no childcare discounts, and the only child allowance I have are when I file my annual taxes and that is about $1,000 per year. How does it change? How can we change it?
  17. Maybe I'm just blonde but I got lost again..... I was good until the last paragraph. Are you saying we need to consider the natural instinct or laws of nature that govern us, as animals, and put more stock in that rather than suppress it or subvert it when considering things like raising children?
  18. I've had 2 so far....its starting to become a bit clearer now. But I do wonder how elderly one must be to have an "elderly perspective".
  19. To quote Marlin from the movie Finding Nemo: It's like he's trying to speak to me, I know it. Look, you're really cute, but I can't understand what you're saying. Say the first thing again.
  20. one bottle of Hendersons Relish per hour, including shipping to the US.
  21. In all seriousness to the thread starter, your post just wasn't clear. I get the part about women breastfeeding and then having to go back to work so then we can't anymore so we have to switch to formula (unless you express at work). I got lost somewhere around the thinking not being allowed part. What do you want to debate/discuss?
  22. No sweetie....some of us were just born with it. You can borrow mine, if you like.
  23. im·bibe/imˈbīb/Verb 1. Drink (alcohol). Actually, I am just starting to imbibe myself so in a couple of hours I am sure the OP will make perfect sense. :hihi:
  24. I suspect there has been a bit of imbibing going on.
