After such cases an investigation is commissioned, don’t know about timeline. That will be indépendant and look at the roles and actions of all parties involved and conclusions drawn, eg social services, police, health workers etc. It will look at the rationale behind certain actions, choices and opportunities to intervene taken or missed. Will be interesting. Expect the usual empty phrases, platitudes and cliches eg. ‘ we’ve learned lessons’ ‘ training measures have been introduced ‘etc

Err wrong I’m afraid. The judge clearly mentioned psychiatric reports commissioned by the prosecution AND defence. Doctors have to be act in a professional manner whether defence or prosecution.

Five psychiatric reports all singing from the same hymn sheet. The judge could however have ignored the reports as they are only « advisory », as he said in his summing up. I think the psychotic phenomena in the Nottingham case was clearer than in Sutcliffes case. But you may be right You are welcome to contribute if you’ve anything sensible to add.
