  1. Wanted to make sure I posted a review somewhere though I can't see anywhere else on-line to post a review for Keith. He did my Son (and two other friends') party today and was absolutely amazing. He kept the kids (and adults!) engaged for a good two hour stretch and as we had some younger ones there too, made sure they felt included. I cannot speak highly enough of him and would thoroughly recommend him for anyone considering booking an entertainer.
  2. Hi, Can anyone recommend an outside caterer for a Christening. We are just ooking for someone who can provide a finger buffet. Not sure of numbers yet but it will be 50+ Thanks
  3. Excellent idea Max. It's actually the table number/name holders that I'm after as opposed to place names (apologies for not being clear!) so not sure that would stand out enough on the table but any other ideas on how to make my own would be much appreciated!!!
  4. Hi, Does anyone know anyone who is selling any table name holders or where I can get hold of any? Thanks
  5. Hi, We might have 2 spare tickets. Are you still looking?
  6. Hi, I work full time and have done since my son was 6 months old. He attends and very much enjoys nursery, however I would like to vary this particularly with something we could share with him or observe, being a part of it somehow. All activities tend to be weekday daytimes... Does anyone know of any 'straight from work/nursery' or weekends? Thx
  7. I managed to get one of these cots for £4 in Boots in town the other day. There was 1 left. If you're very lucky, it might still be there!
  8. Try mothercareworld, off the ring road next to staples. They do a measuring and fitting service and have a good selection of maternity bras of all ranges i.e. support, nursing etc and styles i.e. plain, fancy, patterned and colours.
  9. Zippy/Cynic I appreciate what is being said here and the reasons for the 'cycnicism' but would you really be happy that you had made the right choice if you got home to a news report stating that 'insert chosen scenario' had happened to said woman after you had knowingly driven past?
  10. Fact of the matter is though that this woman did take this route, for whatever reason, and did get stranded, she may not have known the road. I personally would have probably tried to find another route at that time of night, as I know the road. I used to commute to Glossop daily and it happened to me at around 9.00 am and I still had the same reaction from passing motorists and was still shaken up from the incident and was stranded. Because it happened to her at that time I feel even more sorry for her and angry that people left her frightened at that hour, nevermind the passing motorists looking out for number 1 as is all too common these days.
  11. Slightly different story though. The OP states that the female was clearly distressed. This was a male waiting in his car. The very same thing happened to me a couple of years ago on snake pass. My tyre went and I lost control of the car. When I managed to regain control and got out. The tyre was ripped to shreds. No way I could have calmly changed my tyre and gone on my way. It was a very frightening experience. Several cars drove past me while I was trying to flag for help. One very kind gentleman eventually stopped and whilst he couldn't even change the tyre, he calmed me down and rationalised the situation for me. Had it not been for him, I don't know what I woud have done next. How would you feel if your wife/girlfriend/mother was stranded and no-one stopped to help? Your username seems very appropriate here.
  12. Help ... I'm 3 days overdue (I know it's not much) but am huge and suffering with lots of the usual late pregnancy discomforts inc. SPD, sleeplesness and the rest. Any ideas for things to try to bring on the labour? So far have tried the following: Bouncing on birthing ball, curry, raspberry leaf tea, pineapple, nookie, aromatherapy massage, aromatherapy baths, reflexology. I am booked in for accupuncture, a sweep and then induction in 11 days time. I really don't want it to go to that and really want him out now. Not only am I suffering physically but also have a severe case of cabin fever! I'm naturally a doer and have completely run out of things to do to pass the time. Does anyone have any ideas of anything that I haven't tried yet or have I exhausted all of the options?
