Saturday 25th February Bliss Lions Lair Sheffield Without doubt last month's Bliss party was the best one to date. Great music, superb crowd. We plan to continue in the same fashion this month with special guest Dan Feeney. Many from Sheffield will know the name and possibly may have seen him play at some of the significant residencies he had back in the day..Revolution,Takapuna amongst them. In recent years he's been away from the city developing his DJ career, including working with the Pukka Up guys and presenting their Podcast to a huge worldwide audience. He's also one of only a few Sheffield DJ's that has played at the world's greatest club's , Space Ibiza! Alongside Dan will be resident Nathan Lewin, Paul Sherriff, Dimitry Soul & Bitter & Twisted. So we're really excited to to present something dynamic and fresh to Sheffield. The Bliss parties wil lalways be held in intimate, tasteful arenas with tickets being limited to what we feel the venue can handle....we want them to be enjoyable experiences that you can't stop talking about...just like one of those amazing holidays or when you've just got back from Southport Weekender or SunceBeat! For our first three events we have chosen the VIP lounge at the very top of Crystal. Very exclusive (admission with wristband only), superb facilities, imported sound system. Delicious. Because we want Bliss to be dynamic and fresh we thought it was very important to put some faces behind the decks that have not been over used in Sheffield.... not just the guest DJ's but also the residents, (some of which you'll know but haven't seen in Sheffield for a few years). The music policy is strictly soulful house. Feel confident that we wont wont sell it as such and then take a detour through tech, electro and minimal. So to the first date...it will be on Saturday September 24th in Sheffield with special guests Richard Earnshaw and Pete Simpson. Richard Earnshaw has been part of the soulful house 'A' list of DJ/ producers for over 10 years. Not only releasing tracks under his own name , Richard also recorded as The Little Big Band, Spiritchaser, Fusion Groove Orchestra & One51. Needless to say we're delighted to have him as our headline DJ for the opening night of (It's) Bliss Pete Simpson...voice of an angel. It's not suprising that his voice has been used on numerous tracks over the years...you just know its him. The Sunburst Band, Jon Cutler, Unabombers, Jonny Montana, Bobby & Steve, Groove Assassin, Layabouts not to mention Small Arms Fiya and that amazing full album he recorded with Domu. Pete will be delivering some of his fantastic vocals over some of the tracks we all love Fly Away, Wont Give Up, Runnin... The first 100 tickets (wristbands) will be available at just £5!
