  1. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Very professional and reasonably priced.
  2. Eric Gilbert Carpet shop on Abbeydale road have a skip to the side of the shop with carpet remnants. When I got my allotment I asked in the shop and they were happy for me to take as much as I wanted. Less for them to dispose of.
  3. I agree, MOT centre Broadfield Road, honest and reliable
  4. We got ours after about nine months but that was about three years ago. There are a couple of half plots that dont seem to be cultivated at the moment so might be worth enquiring.
  5. Thanks for your posts. We've decided to wait till summer when the nights are lighter so we've got more time to spend on the bonding process. Thanks helenasq for the advice regarding guinea pigs. We will definitely go for a Rabbit. In the meantime I'm going to build an indoor playpen so he can spend more time in the house with the kids. (and also stop our over affectionate dog from worrying him) Thanks again.
  6. Thanks Fallenangel. My worry is that ours has always lived alone so would he be likely to be aggressive toward a newcomer, or is this unlikely?
  7. We have had a Rabbit for approximately three years (bought for my daughter) We now feel terribly guilty about buying a single Rabbit as he spends so much time alone. Would it be possible to introduce another animal as company for him. (I heard somewhere that Rabbits and Guinea pigs mix) Would it help to avoid territorial issues if I built a new hutch with a temporary mesh division? I would appreciate any advise as we hate the thought of this our Rabbit spending his life alone.
  8. We use jameswellbeloved on the advice of a behaviourist. Seems to keep ours even tempered and in very good condition, coat, teeth etc
  9. I can personally reccomend Victoria Cooper she is vixc on here but if you type in peopleanddogs into google you will find her site. She was brilliant with our rescue dog who had separation anxiety related problems but I know she deals with all behavioural problems and the follow up support is great.
  10. I was there for my last dog. It isn't easy but the injection works very quickly. She went as I was stroking her and looking into her eyes. She didn't get upset and I'm glad I was there for her.
  11. Shadowlands. Anthony Hopkins (C.S.Lewis) Crying with his stepson in front of the wardrobe in the attic. I defy anyone to watch this without crying!
  12. Our rescue dog produced masses of sloppy poo when we got her due to lousy diet on the streets as a stray and in kennels. ( she didn't eat it but was still vile to deal with) On Victoria's advice we put her on James wellbeloved lamb and rice kibble. This has resulted in her having small well formed stools. Her coat has gone from matt and smelly to clean, luxuriant and glossy and it has helped with temprament too, much calmer. Wouldn't feed her anything else now.
  13. Can also highly recommend Victoria and her team. They have been brilliant with our little neglected stray rescue. check out the testimonials on her website.
  14. Actually on closer inspection I'm not sure it is! unless it's taken from a different side of the house.
