  1. I've used 'The Log Shop' on Chesterfield Road for a while. Always been decent product, not really sure on the quantity/weight, I usually get 3 nets for ~£15. I've used Homebase too but found their logs to be damp.
  2. Not a regular bus user but have been pleasantly surprised by the service during this snowy week, they've got me to and from work whilst my car is snowed in. Particularly happy with the contactless payment option, invaluable for a busing casual with no change! Can't say I was cold on the bus, I was dressed for the sub-zero temperature, hat, gloves and even a scarf! The floor was wet and dirty, but my wet, dirty boots didn't seem to mind.
  3. I'm after a driving instructor that covers the S8 area and has availability in the evening. Will contact those recommended already, but if you're an instructor with evening availability please feel free to PM me. Ta.
  4. No it is not ok to shoot a cat for using a garden as a toilet. Do you think it's acceptable for owners to allow their cats to use other peoples property as a toilet?
  5. It wouldn't suprise me to find the perpetrator was sick and tired of picking up cat doings from their garden. Maybe the fouling laws need updating to bring them inline with dogs and punish irresponsible owners accordingly. As to some, hurting cats should be punishable by death, let me be clear, I do not condone abuse of any animal.
  6. Nothing but good things to say about NG fracture clinic, patched me up from a nasty multiple break. Follow up consultant meetings were timely and helpful.
  7. And the winner of yesterdays failed WUM is....'warrior8' unlucky son! oldfox, its natural for your body to get its own back on you after shocking it back into action, I wouldn't be surprised if you feel like having hollow legs for a few more days too. If you can run 4 miles on your first attempt, I think you'll be just fine doing 6. Your next couple runs will be easier. Sheffield being Sheffield I'd guess you ran a lot up hill too, the actual course is reasonably flat so that'll help as will the atmosphere, they'll be plenty of distractions to take your mind of being knackered. Good luck.
  8. The Sheffield Forgers have just started pre-season training ahead of the summer season, they are training on Thursdays from 6pm, meet at GOALS (Norfolk Park Road). It is a Rugby League team but with quite a few current and former Union players. Here's the Facebook group: http://tinyurl.com/y3znqf9
  9. Seems a little obvious but have you used an anti-virus scanner? ClamAV maybe? To be on the safer side you could always boot into a Live distro to run it against your file system. It may also be worth running some root kit scanners, chkrootkit / rkhunter With regards to your other machine, what is the status? where does it get too? do you have access to log files?
  10. Hi Chris, If your networking is related to Web Hosting/Design I'd go armed with a working website to pass people onto. http://www.backdoorsolutions.co.uk seems to have protection so isn't viewable. Where's the event being held?
  11. Ha ha busted! I'm guilty of this. You're right, it's an extra 30 seconds but I always have a look at the front first.
  12. If you fancy a bit of Rugby League then the Sheffield Forgers are just starting pre-season training for the forthcoming summer season. Training is Thursday from 6pm at All Saints School, Granville Road.
  13. Hey Rom, Jo Ness from Oneway Physio based out of Hillsborough Leisure Centre is a sports injury specialist.
  14. Ah, the flying Full Back!! You had a great game too, hope to see you down regularly!
  15. Here's another shout for Sheffield Live: http://www.sheffieldlive.org/
