  1. Very true... this forum is for 'pet owners', and it is also known that all pet owners are not all animal lovers. This can be seen from the statistics of animal 'pet' cruelty in the care of humans!
  2. Ground work..... can't be imphasized enough. Tarpaulin on the floor, walking through barrels close together, making it fun, a bit like gymkhana... lol He sounds like a very intellegent horse that needs stimulation. Something to keep his mind occupied or he makes things up to make his ride more interesting! Have fun with him and enjoy playing a while and not be too serious with him. Join up is also a fun way of lunging!!
  3. I have a 10 acre piece of land on which I keep my horses, sheep, chickens, turkeys and guinea fowl. There is also a fox set on my land. and the foxes can be seen regularly at dusk and dawn chasing the rabbits. They were there before i bought the land, and i choose to keep the chickens etc, so to keep them safe, i am regularly ( and timely) locking up at dusk, and opening up well after dawn ( when the foxes are hopefully full of rabbits! Up to now i have never had an animal (or bird) taken from the field, but an urban fox broke into a shed and took my ducks from my back garden. So yes.... i agree with you Binga and claire. We humans are the problem....
  4. I have just got one off ebay for £99.00 It is a large coop with nest box and run which goes underneath.... a bargain i would say! Can't wait to put it up in the garden.... lol
  5. Lets hope the magpies don't get the better of it..... they can be really nasty. Has anyone reported the sighting?

  7. If your daughter is in to animals then a party at the butterfly farm is good..... or do you know of anyone who has a few ponies where they can have a 'own a pony for the day' party! If you don't then i do.....
  8. Hi... What about a murder mystery weekend...... lots of fun!
  9. Not sure if this is old news now.... but last week quite a few gyspys ( about 25 caravans) took over a football pitch in Rotherham and left a few days later (leaving quite a disgusting mess) to attend the leegap fair near Leeds. This fair is on hold for a fortnight then it reassembles for the last weekend. I know it is presumpsuous, but please be aware that these gypsya are not far away and may be in your area now. Some are travelling workers, but there were also some with horses, foals and animal trasport. Please be vigilent.
  10. What i can never understand is, how some people on here, just love to be so downright cynical of other users, and take great pleasure in being so. So what if you can or cannot see anything in the picture....... you don't have to mock the ones that can see something!
