  1. Sheffield Park Hotel has a wonderful spa facilty, well worth the visit. Certain treatments include bar snack, use of sports facilty including pool sauna and steam room as well as massage.
  2. You said you ached after walking 500 yards! Is it the case that lack of exercise and your smoking are the main problems here? You managed to travel to the walkin centre and not you GPs? "Who will I go and see, GP or nurse?? Let me think that is a hard one?" If you were that ill you would have gone to your GPS or called the out of hours service for a home visit. Some people love adopting the sick-role....stop smoking and get treatment for your anxiety problems.
  3. Recommend the Holiday Inn, went last Xmas day and food was excellant
  4. I was a great fan of runaway girl, good tapas and cocktails. Sheffield does not have many decent restaurants, in fact it has an appalling reputation and is hit and miss in even the best ones. Blunkett commented that there was a lack of decent places to eat in Sheffield, he may be a prat, but he does have a point. Rather than bemoan something different why not give it a try, it isn’t going to kill you to be open minded. ps It is of the beating track but next to Hallam uni, thats how I found it, and on the way down to the station.
  5. Look outside and you see the original sign...it was a silversmiths, so for Sheffield it is original
  6. So if you give a good review you must work there? Great mentality, if I had slagged it off what would you have said then? "Recently been sacked?"
  7. Following stories in the local press about the Runaway Girl and a certain celebrity chef myself and my wife thought we should revisit the Runaway Girl. Previously we have experienced the tapas offered there and always found the food extremely well prepared and enjoyable. Now relaunched as Silversmiths and only a week since the changes we booked ourselves in for an evening meal. The menu has changed beyond recognition, gone are my much loved tapas replaced by starters, mains and desserts. The restaurant has undergone a total transformation, much brighter and with a modern twist. The staff are friendly and well informed about both the food and drinks now served. The menu offered a nice selection of local products from much talked about venison sausages to Yorkshire blue tart. I hate being gushy, just doesn’t suit me at all, but the food was excellent, well presented, extremely well prepared and a delight to eat. There was no rush, waiting staff allowed us the time to enjoy our food and left enough time between courses to allow us time to enjoy the food we received. To go with the food there is a good selection of wines and some wonderfully prepared cocktails. After so many bad experiences with restaurants in and around Sheffield it was refreshing to find a restaurant that delivers good food with staff that are obviously happy in their work. If you want freshly prepared delicious food in a modern friendly environment the Silversmiths is for you.
  8. A reputable "Practitioner" who is professional monitored by? Noone! She used to be a nurse, great that makes it all the better then. Trained by who? If it was her professional training that would not cover non medicinal use of enemas. It is a fad, with no clinical indications for its use as a routine "beauty" treatment. The problem with these people setting themselves up as "experts" "practitioners" or "consultants", is that they are not professional accountable and will have received little or no accreditated training.
  9. I love the term "consultation", are they consultants? So many people using this term with so little training, experince or accountability. Colonic irrigation is simply an enema, what used to be term "high, hot and a hell of a lot". Dressing it up as a "therapy" is a sad reflection in the state of some peoples minds. To charge £50 is a rip of, if you look at the money actually spent on equipment and time they should not be charging more that £20. Talk about being ripped of by plumbers!
  10. And you are how old? The law was passed to protect non smokers and the employees of pubs and clubs. Get over it, for goodness sake it is laughable that you actually believe that you can change things back to the bad old days. ps Smokers account for less than 24% of the population.
  11. Hi all I am looking for a studio to hire on a hourly basis in Sheffield. Anyone know anywhere? Cheers Tom
