Hey guys, gals, and other. I used to live up in Sheffield and hope to return someday. Whilst up there what i heard was First i have heard about the owls old nickname and then Sheffield united taking it once we (owls) moved on. The only thing i heard regarding the bacon thing was cus of the billboard outside brammal lane once had a pig advertising something on it and over night it was painted in red and white stripes. I can't say if there is any truth in it but it did make me chuckle. Also the reason i believe that we are called the owels was as when we first moved into the holy grail. An Owl nested in the rafters of one of the stands and we went on a winning streak. an therefore became the owls, from this good luck charm. if anyone knows about this please let me know although i might update soon as i'm off to look up the reasons etc

why not just have sepearte areas? one for where the kids can play football and another where the dogs can run around? Like they do with the playgrounds, fence them off so dogs can't wander in. If the kids then go and run around in this area no dog poop to worry about! Also increase the number of poo bins for the dogs and more visible posters warning about the fines that go with not cleaning up

my dad used to work for the council, he said sometimes they'd be given a job to do but were told to give it a week and then go or sometimes it just depended the area on how long they'd take to go, he also said that in some houses u wipe your feet on the way out
